I don’t know how all this is interpreted but I have never seen Ani adjust with Arshi… it’s only post Aag that he made one sincere effort to be with her due to his guilt over his actions… to the extent of even making an effort to start conjugal life… But this time he isn’t guilty about his actions towards Arshi as he hasn’t done anything to trouble her so if anything his guilt would be towards J alone that’s a narrative that I would seem a bit sensible…. Baaki Leena ka jo bhi marzi ho… Rinse repeat ka silsila hain hi… Ani ko mute/bebas rakhkar bhi generally she has made his motivations clear most of the time
