Aisa kuch nahin hone wala .....Leena ko allergy hai from showing woh traditional saas-bahu drama tropes....yahaan toh bas characters khaane ke upar ladaai karte hain and faltu hall drama karte hain....Jhanak roti rehti hai about insult ho gayi meri boohoo and thode time baad bhaag jaati hai....bas itna hi....ghanta interest hai usko koi bhi farz nibhaane mein....Ani ko complaint hi karti rahegi ki mujhe torture hona pad raha hai phir se aapke liye

Yes, Bodoma especially is of quite conservative thinking....this was very visible in the tracks before Apu di's shaadi also how much she used to berate Apu in frustration for making her life difficult and also ki kabhi shaadi nahin ho paayegi iski etc.

Just that it's funny to see this volte face given how earlier Bodoma was encouraging Jhanak to come back to Ani during the HA track by claiming he hasn't had a moment of happiness living with Arshi....but as you said, maybe they enjoyed idealizing Jhanak as the sacrificial type letting go of her love for her Didi but ab loss of idealism feel ho raha hai cuz she is no longer being sacrificial and for once giving consideration to Ani's love as well?

Waise I guess we will have to see the whole scene in context to know....maybe Bodoma is just mouthing this line rhetorically that society will be harsh on Jhanak in judgement now even if she personally understands that Runak can't live without each other.

True that… I would like to see the scene but as you rightly pointed out the conservatism has been on display in the past. Personally I find such characterisations even as expedient plot devices easy ti accept if there are such sub texts

I will only find Chotton volte face difficult to accept cos he is shown to know the near entire story and has seen the love from both sides.

With the Jethu and Bodoma thing… I am trying to recall what were their actual positions during the pregnancy track I wasn’t following all episodes then 😂😂😂

In J pregnancy track they kept a girl's pregnancy above all other truths (!!)...in case of Arshi also, they will keep pregnancy above all...and support Arshi, no matter what they feel for Runak..
