AY… I don’t focus on Jhanak’s agency because she hasn’t been shown as effecting it except in refusing the relationship. She has never shown any courage in acceptance only in refuting 😂😂😂 main usko toh ginti main nahin le rahi hoon.
when Ani refused the intimacy charge…which Jhanak threw at him… I understood that him not accepting is natural. If you don’t remember what will you accept? Agreed but I had an issue with the narrative building his vehemence just like I had an issue with him being distant during the aag track.. it’s is a nuanced thing in my perspective. For me, the Ani that was set up always became soft when it comes to Jhanak which is what happened when she was leaving..
the narrative made him vehement about acting as if it was all hunky dory which it certainly wasn’t. That I found inherently dishonest which Ani wasn’t really. It was a time for him to doubt her motives but not act as if he was Harishchandra 😂😂 that’s my point!!

....do thappad lagaane ka mann kar raha tha for him trying to act holier than thou like he never had any romantic inclination towards Jhanak....sigh that track was ekdum gutterfest....I skipped most of it for a reason
Only vague explanation you can chalk it up to was that he was too shocked by Jhanak's claim and baaki he went overboard trying to put on a performance of full devotion to Arshi, that is why tried to claim he had barely any interaction with Jhanak in Kashmir....lol cuz agar itna bhi admit kar leta that they did go to each other's rooms, toh psycho maa-beti would have put more accusations on him.
Another explanation is that Leena easily flips narratives after dragging a plot for so long that she expects people to buy revisionist history....same as how she has now suddenly changed Jhanak ki whole birth backstory after 300 epis of telling us something else.....similarly she switched Ani from claiming he fully remembers that night to 150 episodes later showing him claiming that they didn't even go into each other's rooms in Kashmir .
And later on when he got his big clarity/realization in tumor/HA track, tab tak woh waali night ka discussion hi moot ho gaya....bas general explanation de diya Ani ne that he only tried to stay with Arshi cuz he thought Jhanak is with someone else. But if Leena is bringing yeh Arshi ka baby trap track, then there may be a revisiting of Ani's actions from the pregnancy track cuz Jhanak probably is still sitting with that grudge inside her somewhere that he proved her a liar in front of everyone
