And yes...if we look back the storyline since aag track, things make sense now.. atleast to me they make sense..

Arshi was burnt..given Anirudh's one of the core traits being empathy, he took up Arshi's responsibility... obviously he did a terrible mistake by declaring her wife...he will face it's consequences for a long time now...both J and Ani tried to move on...J not recalling Ani even for once was to highlight her determination to forget him...while Ani trying to accept Arshi as his wife and his future also reflects the same... however, the Mumbai dance competition track revealed that the indifference was a facade..both were very much influenced by each other's behaviours and actions..actually the separation has made them more sensitive towards each other's behaviours..then the pregnancy fiasco... Ani's inability to trust J... however, hearing J's illness he forgot all past spats and went Mumbai to support J..J showing him the door with utmost disrespect and consequent heart attack...J going out of control seeing Anirudh's health conditions..all seems to be making sense now..Runak can NEVER UNLOVE each other..

True ... The broad picture in mind the above explanation fits the current scenario n though we thought they were behaving opposite to their chore characteristics but after Mumbai hosp n cal hosp it's clear that their efforts to forget eachother , showing empathy to chudail, prego track in that also ani tried to take jk responsibility of jk n bacha though he was disbelief that the kaand taken place in kash n his mis abt ak n in that track jk accepted her love n openly declared infront of family n ani in Cal....

Without prego she didn't accept that to herself n in Mumbai hosp Ani clear cut realise his love when jk near death. N same with jk in heart attack track she still considered him her pati n declaring infront of bh evil clowns 🤡 so overall they can't function without eachother n thier misunderstanding abt ak n j rishta also clear....

So now raunak ladayi against bh clowns, chudail n Ani's ladayi to delusion partener jk will be future track ... For 100+ episode maybe 🤔 now.... Separation for sometime isn't on Cards on Leena mata now'....

Today’s episode was fabulous at various levels.

The other day Chotton talked about divorce, today Minu talked about probabilities, possibilities, Ani had such a refreshing take on moving on. Honest and heartfelt. He said Arshi khush nahin hain… he recognises that and willing to take accountability for that. Jhanak is clear that Arshi being in the equation in any form excludes her acceptance.

A relationship is nurtured in both sickness and health. Jhanak will learn to do that. I hope Leena can tell us a tale of that paradigm change… to love with gay abandon ❤️

@rysohini Thank you for welcoming me 😊... Its true Ani is the one whom viewers have extreme expectations on! The whole show depends on him frankly.

@Dibya_C I understand Ani's pov and his desperation after near death experience to be with the person he loves the most.

I love that he's taking a stand for himself finally!

It's just that he gave false confidence to Arshi and his parents all this time by not really saying what he truly wants. And I think he needs to take responsibility for it...

Because we as viewers know Arshi and co don't deserve it but he doesn't know that... Just before heart attack he was thinking that Arshi actually didn't do anything wrong so how can I tell her I love Jhanak...

I know he's not completely wrong but he is somewhat wrong at the same time by making the choice to be with Arshi again and again.

For her behaviour during Heart Attack, he can and should BLAME Arshi because he himself saw how heartless and inhumane she was.

But at the same time, he also needs to reflect on his words/behaviour up until then too. He can't suddenly get a free pass for all his actions till HA because he had near death experience.

I can understand his desperation completely for now. But Leena needs to show him take responsibility, feeling some remorse for putting himself, Jhanak and Arshi through this turmoil in the near future.

Because despite all the pressures he was facing he made and still makes his own choices everytime... Nobody forced him and just a few days back he was again giving assurances to Arshi and family and CHOSE to silently suffer instead of taking a stand for himself.

And I'm not saying that him not taking a stand for himself is completely wrong too but if he's the same person who silently suffered all this time and tried to accept his fate up until recently, and now when he finally decides "bhad me jaye sab log, I will do what I want and I'll fight for my Jhanak" shouldn't there be a complex emotional journey? Shouldn't he analyse what went wrong in his life all this time that he suffered this much? Shouldn't he realise the impact of his own choices in his sufferings because he now REALISED what he truly wants?

That's what I am expecting from Ani in this track...

Yessss...and wasting ss on unnecessary characters...in today's episode only 5 min were dedicated to leads rest 35 min wasted on side characters.

It's wasted time n actually episode was worthy only 15 mins to 22 mins scenes others r totally inserted to increase span time ... Raunak scens n bh drama was worth watching rest all episodes acenes fillers with leads getting less time n venil gang n lallon getting full fledged 10 mins to 20.mina screen space

Recently caught up to 300+ epis of Runak...( I guess I really like them otherwise I wouldn't have patiently skimmed through 300 epis worth of drama!)😅

I read all your recent convos and you guys have excellent povs! Love the depth at which you discuss and love the way characters are written that so much analysis can be made in the first place! I must say Leena succeeded in the way she wrote her characters that people are still hooked despite all the drag and drama...

I especially love the way Anirudh is written. He is a very rare ITV ML with so many interesting character traits!

The two major things I noticed during his journey is that after fire accident and during Mumbai track most people found him not being true to his character but I feel that this is Ani who actually listened to J and respected her wishes because for him when it comes to love J's pov is extremely important. He might force his wishes on her when it comes to her well being and career but when it comes to her heart J's got all the freedom. I LOVE that about him!

He gave up his happiness once she so clearly rejected him and pushed himself to focus on his responsibilities... And find solace in this life that he didn't want by trying to convince himself of the reality that's his life now by accepting Arshi as his wife and telling and doing all the right things(for his family and arshi)

Up until he got heart attack he continued to push himself in the same way because J also pushed him to do the same thing by rejecting him, brutally I must say, again and again...

And now post heart attack, I feel like I am seeing a completely different Ani from the journey till now. I can understand him much better during Mumbai track than now honestly.

Don't get me wrong, I LOVE that he's finally being honest with his feelings and doing his best to show his love for Jhanak. But when he starts speaking to Arshi or about arshi that's when I feel weird I guess.

I feel a lack of certain emotional turmoil, sensitivity from Ani's side recently. I can understand that he finally got complete clarity on what he wants in his life but I feel like he is not taking responsibility for all the words he uttered to Arshi and his family just few days back...

Right now I feel like he's being EXTREMELY Desperate and not clearly thinking about anything other than keeping J with himself.

Until he starts thinking straight again and solve the Arshi issue in a more sensible way he's not the Ani I know till now I guess...

Let's see how Leena proceeds this further...

The beauty of this serial ( so far despite some harakiri here and there) is it does not force feed its perspective ( the writer’s I mean) down our throat. It is slowly letting the characters develop and letting the viewers a feel of it as the story goes along. It allows you to consider why a character may do this or did that.

bold - Yes, one of most beautiful character sketch written for an ITV ML - rare I say even if I don’t watch a lot of itv… most ML sketches fall in the range of either toxic or too good to be true yet totally useless where it should matter 😂😂😂 Ani is humane, his flaws are also written with such depth… I maintain Ani is Leena’s favourite character. And she got Krushal who has managed to get under the skin of Ani..so wonderfully.

Sowmya, about the incidents post aag.. while that’s one way to look at it, and it is an interesting one, I would have been more convinced of it if the writer hadn’t thrown a curveball with the complete alienation of Jhanak and his self doubt and agar agar dialogues 😂😂😂 but the only way that phase makes sense is he was consumed with guilt over his actions that he somehow felt contributed ( not directly) to the state of Arshi. It can happen to a person leading a dual life. That moment of reckoning where he has an epiphany or a realisation that his actions may have hurt someone he claimed to love. The writer, perhaps did not want to give it too much clarity as in some ways it could mar the flow of the love story that she is aiming to project and so decided to keep it vague. His monologue of Did Jhanak try to harm Arshi? was a source of confusion for me for the longest time but I later sorta made peace with it with this understanding that Ani genuinely made a u- turn at that stage.
Which if we come to think of it absolutely natural for someone with Ani’s traits. He fell in love with Jhanak with a force of feeling beyond his control but he did not intend to deceive Arshi… so much so that even after acknowledging Jhanak’s power over his thoughts, he did not think of breaking it off with Arshi coz in in his mind, until much much later he never linked the two. In Kashmir too while standing in that mandir, he was placating Arshi when the wedding was cancelled.
on that night of intimacy, in that delirium induced state, was the first time, he acknowledged the possibility that he wanted Jhanak in his life in a more permanent way and was willing to barter anything to have that. He extracted a promise that he remembered even post delirium ( don’t ask me how that is possible -ask Leena) 😂 He started to muster the courage to tell Jhanak he was feeling suffocated in the promise he had given her in lieu of her promise but couldn’t go too far with Jhanak who had worries of her own. That led to Ani behaving like a petulant brat when J refuses him, and led to the great PDA… then aag happens.
While dealing with his guilt over his actions… he perhaps felt that his PDA had perhaps driven Jhanak to harm Arshi ( its a fleeting thought that sometimes takes over your more guarded responses or thought) His preoccupation with Arshi’s wellbeing and staying distant from Jhanak ( it was useful as a plot device too) was a result of his trying to make amends. Today his assertion that he tried to adjust with Arshi makes complete sense. He did his penance but where the heart is, one can’t stay from it for too long.

Now coming to what his actions are and will be.. Leena will be coming to that facet of his character too at long last… I would like to devote a post to that 😂😂 Ani’s character sketch is the hugest draw as is his foil Jhanak.. they aren’t peas in a pod but somehow they stick 😂😂😂
