Tragic stories nowadays don't work!
For instance, the main concept of KZK season 2 is about two lovers who loved each other but remained apart like two parallel train tracks that never coincide. Since this was the same concept in season 1 where the leads never met at the end but the makers did the opposite in the new as the audience sentiments and perspective are indifferent nowadays, thus, a good happy ending after lot of hurdles.
That show also prompted a sad ending concept, so with good TRPs and a loyal audience, they won't take this stupid risk and may alter the storyline if there's any negative ending. Positive endings with a roller-coaster ride for the leads always have a solid impact on viewers. Also, this show isn't like others where they can kill the leads and start a fresh story with their kids as the leads are already in their young age.
Although the majority of the dialogues hinted at the sad ending, I also feel that those were used to fit that situation, as both Ani and Jhanak do not even consider themselves to be together. Once the dynamics of their relationship change, the story will have a completely different angle, with love playing a major role in their journey, as the first chapter simply focused on the turning point from attraction to love, eventually, acknowledgement of their marriage that was just a forced act to save their lifes.
A new chapter of love is on its way into their lives! ๐ฅณ

Love doesnโt just sit there, like a stone; it has to be made, like bread; remade all the time, made new.โ โ Ursula LeGuin
Hopefully they don't ruin this show with generation leap and all instead give beautiful ending to the leads.
