Yes, Initially he will support J as he knows her more but will slowly get to see Ani's selfless and deep love for J and understand why J has fallen for him. That way he'll push them together and get his own closure and be a supportive friend in the end, because he will understand where he failed while Ani succeeded. Plus also see how compatible they are character wise, like pointing out their habits and all.
