You are so right ! While he manipulates everyone with such ease and grace, he falls prey to manipulations as well - be it Shristy with Rahul or with the rumours about Jhanak ! Or his own family who are usually on a verbal diarrhea about her !

Plus the fact that Ani was bewildered by Jhanak's urge to get married to any man and his dog !

This conditioning of "there is no smoke with out fire" will sadly only increase, now that Jhanak is back in the house !

I wonder if it is the passive conditioning Ani has undergone in the hands of his family, ie., constant berating of Jhanak. Even if he stands up against it most of the time, he still hears them from time to time and might have internalized it and not acted upon it unless he loses control like the past couple of episodes.

We really don’t understand Ani and don't even want to do Matthapachi in understanding what emotions he was going through
