This is not for any controversies and my sincerely apologies if I I am hurting your sentiments.
i am very happy that makers have shown three different real characters of life in the form of brothers
Joint family mein koi kam kamata hai koi jyada but all live together. Very True. This truely implies to "Jethu". He is been shown as a hard working person to the best of his abilities. He has only that much of capability and it can be seen how he takes the things and represents himself in the show. He does not earn much is not concern at all but he works hard. is main Choton on the other hand only works for himself when needed and when he is short of money. His dialogue" mere paise khatam ho rahe hein, mujhe kaam par jaana padega" to jhanak shows that and During that time he did not even care jhanak ki shaadi bhi fix ho gayi and ghar mein itna chaos ho gaya. Jab paise hote hain he is alway present in their bethak. Jethu is a simple person but Chotton is smart- he can but does not intend to do work i guess. Jab jarorrat hui toh usne principal ko bhi bottle mein uttar liya. Person like chotton should not get marry which his mother wants to. Taking care of family is huge responsibity which chotton is not ready for currently.
Shubho is in his mid fifties who has been shown to work very hard and family ko yaha tak le kar aaya. They were poor before as shown. Now if he is at home and only working as needed is totally fine. (I am not talking about his mental level and implication here).
Chotton is no other than Tanuja and Bipasa- woh ghar mein kam nahi karte yeh bahar nahi karta. They both are useless emotionally also
PS- No offence to any character or actor. This is reality Joh bolta hai woh marta hain. joh karta hai woh bhi marta hai and when the person express the anger they are considered bad. Here I am not favouring Tanuja at any cost but her anger for chotton is justified in my belief though she should be careful in the words she uses.
Hey thrz no hurting here..... no controversies n no need of apologies. Infact I love hearing everyone's thoughts. I get ur POV reg Chotton- I just wanted to understand makers POV. As u said - Jethu is really hard working and he provides for his family steadily. But Tanuja taunts him as well. I feel she doesn't hv All rights to comment on them, that too so often and in such bad taste, which we all agree.
No Doubt Chotton has to work harder - what I don't get is why/how Tanuja or Bipasha give him so much crap. Shubho, Jethu or his parents saying something I get. The reason I think so is cz usually thrz limits in communication if they r not blood relatives....in this case Tanuja/Bipasha. Their words/tone is another level when they speak to Jethu/Chotton (purely based on their earnings) whilst they themselves contribute nothing. My interpretation of their current scenario is this way cz Chotton is single. But as you said if his parents want him married (I skip some toxic scenes so miss out on certain details), then I won't agree with his means either.
Basically what am trying to say is - am not sure if makers are showing Chotton is right, but they surely showing Tanuja is wrong in her never-ending taunts (from a joint family perspective)
Its only us who are discussing all these minute details, wonder if makers give in so much thought into these dynamics
P.S: Personally, I'm from nuclear family. But having seen joint families in the 90s (who became nuclear eventually), I nvr saw DILs having so much power to speak out loud, let alone speak like these ladies in Bose house. Which is why Tanuja to me is unreal & I can't interpret her character beyond what I think makers show.
