Maybe we are overthinking but it was a double-meaning dialogue.

We are definitely overthinking as I am sure the makers had no intention to make this into a romantic angle - which is why I asked in one of my posts - what was the point of this scene?

But it was funny and the dialogues definitely had double meaning, though Ani did not intend it that way!

Also, I totally dislike how Jhanak talks to Anirudh - when she tells him that she will carve her own path, and that she wants to take her own decisions, what she said was not wrong, thought she has no idea at how she is going to do it, still happy she atleast wants to fight for herself. But the way she told him - I found Hiba very lacking here - like how can Jhanak talk to Ani the same way she talks to the Boses/Srishti./Arshi. Even when she is saying the same thing, when she addresses Ani there needs to be a hint of tenderness in her voice.

Contrast that with Krushal - his voice immediately drops to a tender octave when needed which shows Ani's feelings for Jhanak. Like today at the end of the episode when he asks Jhanak that she could have always left if despite him "forcing" her.

What do you ladies think?

Jhanak is the girl who cried “I am on my own”.. she says this very often and gets ready to step out, but never has a concrete plan. When everyone kept asking her where she would go? She said Srinagar.. is she mad to put her head into tiger’s mouth🤦🏼‍♀️ and when Ani asked her stay put she gave him a look.. as though she was disgusted and angry. I did not notice her expressions at first as my sole focus was on Ani😜 but later when someone pointed out, I watched the whole sequence again and found J little off. I am not sure if the CVs are back with the old routine..Today’s episode will throw some light on J’s state of mind.. as she replies Ani’s question on why she stayed? I just hope she would stop whining about how she is kept there against her will.

I like Ani’s swag avatar.. he was good putting people in their places.. Though I felt like, his green signal on his wedding plan was just to ensure J’s stay in the madhouse. I am still skeptical.. must watch whether he goes back doing Arshi jaap.

The diya cliche was such a debacle I really didn’t understand its purpose.. except for the few good laughs we had at its expense.. not sure how they left these lovebirds alone.. that too when Ani is so brazen these days.

Our boy has given assurance right that he is going to marry Arshi and going to become all hers, that kind of give some solace to the evil gang.

Ramya what's the point of his brazenness - ladka still maintains one arm distance even when there is a bloody fire going on - like jeez, hug already!!

Can you believe it's been 150 episodes and our leads haven't even hugged!

I always find Jhanak's attitude to Ani so annoying - I thought they would tone it down a bit now - especially with the 'shayad yeh sab pyaar ke liye kar rahi hu' and the gooey eyes she made at Ani. But no, it's the same now, and that is so inconsistent with what they were trying to show with the wedding track. If Jhanak is now in love with Ani, then why is she looking at him as if he is bane of her existence.

After reading Sohini's post on all the rasms in the bengali shadi and how every rasm was performed by Ani and Jhanak. I am thinking this diya scene was just for that.

Ani has called her his wife not once but twice, toh madame is being the ghar ki bahu and doing the first arti as the bahu. Shadi samapt hui.

Sohini - can you confirm?

In essence, are the makers showing this is the RuNak shadi without it being the shadi?!

I think so.. I remember watching Tamil movies.. where the bride enters the grooms place and immediately lights Diya..

Ha ha - the pressure there dude - need to light the diya in one matchstick with the entire extended family watching. I got so damn conscious!!!

But here that dialogue was so out of place - why would jhanak say ghar ki bahu and then come down dressed as the bahu, theek hai she said that, and then went on to say mein iss ghar ki nahi hu

What were the writers high on when writing this, I need to know!!

And she needs to tone down on the disgust when looking at Ani - seems so out of place and quite jarring when compared to Krushal - Ani's eyes speaks volumes and is always so soft when he looks at Jhanak.
