In an EXCLUSIVE conversation with BollywoodLife, Jai informed us that Sanaya and he are very happy with Faisal's victory
Early this morning, we broke the news that Faisal Khan has won Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa Reloaded. Faisal is the first non-celebrity dancer to win a season of Jhalak ever and fans of the 15-year old have been celebrating his win since morning. However, there is another section (read Sanaya Irani fans) who consider it unfair to pit a celebrity with a professional dancer. But while her fans are fighting for her, Sanaya Irani and her Jhalak partner, Jai Nair have come out in support of Faisal calling him a true winner.
While talking to BollywoodLife EXCLUSIVELY, Jai said, "We are both (Sanaya and Jai) very happy that Faisal has won. Had it been anyone else, we surely would have been upset but Faisal deserved to win. In fact from the very beginning, Sanaya and I have maintained that either we should be the winners or Faisal-Vaishnavi should. Faisal is a brilliant dancer." He further added, "Every time after Faisal's performance, Sanaya would say okay let's all go home, there is no way we can beat that'."
When asked what is his take on a celebrity being pit against a professional dancer, Jai said, "The argument at this stage is baseless. If that was the case, then the channel should have included him in the show at all. But he's worked as hard as all of us and we are glad that he took home the trophy."
He then went on to thank fans for voting for Sanaya and said, "I'm sure had the judgement been based on voting alone, we would have been the winners, without any doubt. Sanaya and I really appreciate the time, energy and money fans have spent on voting for us."
So all Sanaya fans, who are fighting and contesting the decision, calm down! Your star is wholeheartedly supporting Faisal, and it's high time you learn to be a sport too.
