Do contestants get paid?

I was wondering if contestants received money for each episode they did, and approx. how much would that be? Does the amount differ per contestant celebrity status, or is it the same?

And I would assume the longer you stay in the competition the more money you make?

Yes de r paid either weekly or per episode acc to their popularity...I heard VD was d highest paid dis season...in bigg boss an average contestant gets 3-4 lakhs per week bt in jdj don't know

about the same i am guessing for the top celebs that channel wants on the show. cz a daily soap has like 5-6 episodes per a week n main leads get paid something close to 1 lakh per episode. And to compensate for that, ones like VD, SI would be paid that level.

Rest depending on the pecking order..

@TM - it is a fixed amount paid per episode. And decided before the start of the show when they sign the contract
