Among the contestants, the few faces I recognized are from the shows I have watched. Sanaya Irani( Rangrasiya), Vivian (Madhubala), Radhika (MATH) Dipika(SSk) and the kid from the historical show.
Among all the performers, I have been consistently impressed with the acts of Faisal and Sanaya.
The kid is a genius and I love watching him.
But Sanaya has way surpassed my expectations. I know of her as an amazing actress par excellence, but was not sure of her dancing ability. Her first few acts were not impressive, but what a growth she has shown over the weeks. Her Dhoom act totally blew me away, my husband watched along with me and asked me if this is the girl who played the docile and sweet Paro. I couldn't stop him from drooling over the hot chic act. We have been following the show religiously since then and have been mesmerized week after week with her act, silently cheering her on. From the crazy expressive drunken act of Kangana to the super cute and perfect imitation of Chaplin and from the aggressive femme fatale of Dhoom Machale to the inherently graceful and elegant Baby doll, she has gone from strength to strength acing every act adding the finest nuances to make the acts that much better. She might not be technically sound, but boy is she a pleasure to watch on screen or what!!!!!
I couldn't stop myself from coming here today after witnessing the most spectacular, mesmerizing and spellbinding act ever.
After the butterfly/flower act, my husband has been repeatedly asking me if this girl is a trained dancer. I was not 100% sure, but from whatever I have seen, I told him not. For an untrained dancer to pull off that jaw dropping, mind numbing, heart thumping act is way beyond admirable! What really seals the deal is that she did it without a harness. The lifts and drops were beautiful, and the horizontal had me gasping for air! The love story was so endearing and superbly choreographed by Jai. Worthy of mention is the trust factor between the two.
As soon as the act ended, my hubby was yelling "give it to her"..."that golden ball"
We were too much in a trance to notice that she had actually hurt herself during the act. I have seen many dance shows, but haven't seen an aerial act like this one ever before, as Lauren pointed out!!!!!
With this act, Sanaya has raised the bar for self and others and for the whole show this season! I am sure her die hard fans and supporters are proud of her, but a regular TV watcher and dance lover like me who enjoys her as an actress is also amazed at her journey and want to wish her the best.
Her journey so far can be compared to an air flight. For the last few weeks, she has faced many turbulences and strong winds as she soared through the clouds, but she overcame and steadied herself with her choreographers able support. There are a few more layers of clouds and winds to pass before the sky clears and she will be at the highest altitude of her journey to the stars.
PS: I am not the voting kind of person, but after this act both me and my husband have decided to vote for Sanaya till the end. She truly deserves to go all the way to the top, and we will do our part to take her there.
