Personally, cloud storage isn't the best of places, given that what you're doing isn't technically "legal" (sure it's only TV serials, but you don't know when they will snap) ... keep your stuff on physical mediums only. There are some sites you can use, but you're going to be paying for cloud storage. DVDs are a good option though. Just be sure to preserve them.Get another hard drive (no need to waste money on SSDs because when they die, they die. HDD's can usually be rescued since only the mechanical parts stop working) and back up the back up. Depending on where you live, hard drive costs are wonderfully low (I live in the US). (*touchwood*) Your current portable should be fine for a few years, provided you don't play "hot potato" with it or anything.
Out of curiosity, how large is your collection size wise (100 GBs?)
umm my collection is close to 600 GB I think..not at home right now so can't be sure..but it can't be less than that cz my RR collection itself was I think abt 200GB..as I don't collect LQ videos.. it is mostly 1080p..
and ya I have double backed up most of it.. And I am a very careful user so ya.. i don't think I will be messing with it.. But i actually I will take ur advice n better take it out to DVD.. I don't have a BlueRay writer.. sigh. otherwise it would be easy as it is gonna require a hell load of DVDs at this rate :((
