I think I read that somewhere that comparing her to Prabhu Deva is incorrect.. I kind of agree. The credibility that Prabhu Deva brings to an Indian show is different from what Lauren brings. And that is preciously why Lauren is a proper judge in this jhalak season - we already have other judges who bring the bollywood and Indian aspect into the show. Lauren brings the international aspect. She has a different perspective. While Prabhu Deva has the advantage of having vast dance knowledge (but so does Ganesh) and is known well in India, Lauren also has vast dance knowledge (but in different styles). So having a Ganesh and a Prabhu Deva is any day better than having a Ganesh and a Lauren.

But in sab ko kaun samjhae 😆

Hola all!! Been hella bz so haven't watched JDJ yet - just watched a few performances now and.. whatever. Not so impressed. The contestants should be dancing so well and giving us dhamaakedaaar (can't believe I just said that 😆) acts but ... where are the awesome acts that JDJ is famous for? Am hearing that Vivian's act is good so will see that soon also. Yes, Cari - I will watch it soon 😳

And Lauren's scoring about Scartlett... I haven't watched Scarlett's act however watched the Sneak Peak so saw some of her act. If Lauren gave Scarlett a 10 and some feel she doesn't deserve it then too bad . Lauren is a judge in JDJ for a reason and she obviously saw or sees something we don't. It's obviously more difficult for someone not of Indian culture to perform an act such as the one Scarlett performed (versus it's so much easier for her to perform a hip hop or contemporary) and I'm sure Lauren knows that. Everyone has a different perspective and Lauren is a judge in JDJ for her's. 😎

although i think 9marks would have been fine for Scarlet, but i do think she gave 1 extra mark bcoz of her expressions... its difficult to do such dances if you are not from India..the latka jhatkas, lipsing and expressions

Yeah, we will never know why she gave the 10 but I trust Lauren enough to have made that decision for some reason 😊

Finally watched the entire show - where is all that jazz that comes along with JDJ? Such a bust this season. The performances are not the same anymore 😒

I agree, I want to see some amazing choreography and themes

I wonder if they are building it up slowly as the show goes on

I want to see Faisal do better too. Really push his limits.

I read somewhere that it's coz good choreographers like Tusshar, Punit and Salman aren't there anymore. But I love Shampa, Marischca, Vivian's partner (can't recall her name). Also, we have to let other choreographers shine also. I'm sure slowly they will get the hang of things.

About Faisal, I also read that he's not getting to reach his potential as he is being held back by someone (the creators, producers?) of the show. Don't know how much truth this holds though. When I heard that Faisal will be in the show, I was so sure that Faisal will win but now.. not so sure. 😕
