If we take into account the number of dance styles shown by Lauren as compared to DD or even Shaan n Sana (for the little time she was there), Then definitely DD, Shaan n Sana have given us more variety and not just that, they have taken RISKS - which have paid off sometimes and sometimes failed. Being non dancers, they have done acts which are so difficult and stepped out of their comfort zone.

Why didnt lauren do any aerial act till now? Or even any latin american dance form?? It beats me... Yesterday s performance was so disappointing. No doubt she was awesome,,but i have seen this before so many times... i really expected something NEW in terms of the dance form - not in terms of the concept.

So ya, she reminds me of Isha from last season - who used to also stay in her comfort zone for most dances but brought new new concepts within the same form - but shied away from taking risks and stepping out of the comfort zone

contemporary dance agian again lauren uncle will do.sonali always do lifts only music n dresschanged thia two r same doing nothing new.

they never took risks or got out of Lauren's comfort zone.. only when they were asked to do so.. 2-3 times ?

on the other hand we have Shaan & Drashti who have the guts to do Ariel on semi finale being non trained dancers !!
Drashti fort seems to be bollywood/indian type of dances.. she did 2-3 times ? otherwise she tried to learn new dance forms instead of doing every second week bollywood..

as I said before in some other thread if Sana and Drashti had more time.. these two could the same what Lauren is doing.. of course not with her technique but very near..

Basic reason Lauren never tries new styles is because Judges have never pushed Lauren . They have easily given her 30 marks . So when you get 30 marks easily for one style why would they try new styles .

Also Lauren has always fumbled when she has tried new styles .

I think you are just concentrating on the name of the dance form. In other words, you are being blind...

For me, Lauren's dance is a pleasure to watch.

The way she tells stories and express emotions through her dance is incredible and a gift to witness.

She dances so gracefully and beautifully, I am always left with a smile on my face. You can see her soul dancing, it's as if she is on her own magical world.

To be very honest, them doing contemporary all the time would have been a treat. But they didn't do contemporary all the time...

Can I just add that yesterday's contemporary act touched my heart.

I have never ever cried over a performance but tears just came naturally after their beautiful dance. Tears of pure joy.

I don't care what people say because that performance was truly perfect in every way. Nothing and no-one can top that performance.

That was a semi-final worthy performance.

Same way how DD-Sal go for sensuous dance to get those 30s. Yeh 😉
