No!
She is an actress , you got a doubt in that? JK =D

Well in award shows , its a different thing .
That doesnt count. Actor's are rarely good dancers (small screen) . But still hardworks goes on . Yes, she is a weak non dancer but trying to insult her in such way that you've to make up stories? Sorry if u found this rude but to me it looks like you were being sarcastic k ab isey professional bana deti hu or to koi kam hi nahi hai ?

I think you need to rethink 😊

Yeah, the cricketer, Suresh Menon, Shaan, Sid and Mantra were "non-dancers" in its truest sense, but alas most of them could not go far ...😭 And one of them is only continuing coz of being the damaad of the channel's most favorite show...😆

Exactly, I would classify others as "dancers" ranging from a scale of weak to strong.

That's why it's silly for people to come up an argument of Lauren being a professional dancer when relatively speaking DD is a better dancer than many out there. So does that mean relatively speaking DD shouldn't win considering she is a better dancer than Sid 🤡

Funny how people forget that the platform is for any Celebs who come in with varied strengths and weaknesses.

Professional dancer r one who r trained dancer as well as who take up shows basically paid one... coming to Drashti she is non dancer in the sense she is not trained dancer like Laurean or Isha she always said in her interviews that she is good with bollywod thumakas and regarding stage performances then its performance and not proper dancing involves it mostly ur stage presence and catching eyeballs mostly celeb messed up there but no one bothers ..celebrity get offers for stage show according to popularity... Sidharth also done stage show he even dance with Salaman so can we call him professional dancer too????? yes Drashti did music video but I will suggest u plz first see those videos and how much dancing is involved in those video see these thing then u will understand... now question to TM why only Drashti u find at fault means isn't it recently Mukti also a non-dancer celeb u didn't involve her name this is so unfair hai na...

Dancing at award shows or functions DOES NOT make you a "trained" professional dancer.
Being an actress doesn't make you a professional dancer either. There are so many actresses who cant even dance properly.
With that logic, then Salman Khan (the movie star not drashti's partner) is a professional dancer too. Since he performs on all these shows.
A professional dancer is someone who is TRAINED in a dance school or by a professional trainer.
Yes, during these award performances, stars work with choreographers. But that does not count as "training". Yes, these stars may have the exposure and experience of dance. But again, that doesn't count as professional dance training.

A Dancer who earns by dancing is a professional dancer, it's as simple as that.

A dancer who has a formal training of dancing, is a trained dancer... A trained or un trained dancer, both can be a pro dancer...

Remo or Prabhu deva aren't trained dancers, but they had been professional dancers... A professional dancer shouldn't have problem in picking up steps, unless he is too Poor in dancing, even as a professional dancer...

The people who r using salman khan or BW analogy, if they were not bigger stars in their acting careers, I'm sure they would love to be called a pro dancer, and they would be able to pickup dance much better than Drashti, if they would take part in a dance competition...

Once Remo and Probhu deva used to be called a pro dancer before they climbed up to different careers. But if they come to a dance competition, will you call them non-dancers? Or Trained dancers? Or Pro-Dancers? I'm sure you will call them pro dancers for that show, despite them having other carriers, which are not related to dance.

Similarly, Drashti's acting has nothing to do in JDJ, if we have to categorize her as per her dancing exposure, she has the exposure of a Pro-Dancer. But she is poor at it. She is not a Non-Dancer.

So dance wise, Drashti is a "Poor Professional Dancer" she is no way a non dancer...

Definition of Professional by Wiki:
A professional is a person who is engaged in a certain activity or occupation for gain or compensation as a means of livelihood, such as a permanent career, rather than as a pastime.

As far as I know DD's permanent Career has been Acting so she can not be called a pro dancer.

I agree she is not as good as Laure or Mukti But definitely she is not a poor dancer as you are trying to potray. Poor dancers are like the cricketer srikkanth who have no sense of beats and no corrdination between diff parts of body. DD is more of a average dancer.

Thanks for the definition, and that's exactly I'm saying. (Please read along with my previous post)

Who says dancing is her pass time... After acting she takes whatever dancing assignment she gets and she earns money on that... If she didn't have a bigger acting career, she would have been called a pro dancer... She earns... That word permanent looks to be added by you... In all sports, anyone who has earned once, is called a pro... Like in golf, athletics, or boxing etc... Why the word permanent?? No profession provides a permanent job guarantee. A poor worker doesn't get much opportunity anyway...

She is a poor professional dancer, by all definition...if you want to categorize her as a dancer on JDJ.
