Definately he is more more popular than any XYZ TV stars...No doubt about that...⭐️He is my fav singer..nd now a good,versatile dancer too...But I think he don't have that much crazy fans(I meant phangirl kinda) who will vote for him all day...

Shaan is indeed popular probably more than other but here in JDJ it's more of question of if that popularity is going to turn into vote i.e. will the people who know Shaan be willing to log onto the colors site or SMS to vote for him 🤔

Well not really among the young crowds and let's be honest the younger demo (16-25) is the whole chunk that spents the time to vote. Plus, there's so many newer singers and Shaan isn't as active as he used to be in the early 2000s.

He's definitely popular and talented dancer, but Drashti is a TV Bahu--that's just an obsession of its own. Remember Prachi?

I disagree here.

Just because the voting demographics are 16-25, does not mean that nobody is voting for him or that he gets less votes. I am well within this age group and I am quite familiar with Shaan and his songs.

When it comes to music there is no age. Young people nowdays are still familiar with even older artists than Shaan.

Shaan was quite active right about 2009, he gave some great hits that year, and has been sort of down after that. 2009 is just a couple years ago.

Since I used that demographic I feel like you're talking to me. 😆

I don't mean NO ONE is voting for him but a huge chunk is voting for the TV stars (simply going off that I see and hear from twitter and FB). Shaan is very popular but he doesn't have that loyal fan base that Mika had. Shaan's fans range in all age groups, but I think Drashti/Sid are getting the most votes. Sid has been in the bottom 3 (right?) b/c of his low scores, whereas Drashti has been on top of the leader board or among the top.

But I do think that if a person is a DD and Shaan fan, they probably more likely to vote for Drashti b/c she's currently more popular as a TV bahu and among the younger crowds b/c of her previous 2 shows.

I think the misconception harboured by most fans on here is that if a 'TV' celebrity is number one here then everyone else may know them but they forget that reality exist beyond the forum. the views, favourites over here are not everyone's.
