I wanted to share an opinion and see what you guys think and this is probably for those JDJ fans who have been watching the show for the last few years.
I like Punit as a choreographer since he's come into the show, but have always followed Salman's choreography and that of Marisha avidly over the years.
Last year in my opinion was the best year of choreography for Salman on JDJ, he really set the bar and came out with some amazing concepts and off course having a trained dancer like Isha helped.
This year though i feel that whilst Lauren is a lovely person and dancer, most of her and Punit's dancing and concept is very similar to what Salman did last year. Such as the contorted horror concept, the contemporary pieces, the sexy bollywood dance
They also seem to be relying a lot on contemporary which is Punits forte from back when he was on DID.
Now i don't wish to offend any fans but i feel that the judges are being a little partial in that Lauren and Punit are effectively the same, there isn't a choreography and student equalness to them because both have come from dance backgrounds and have trained some what, both being part of DID and So You Think You Can Dance (american version of DID)
I think it's a little unfair to the other contestants such as Siddharth Shukla and KV and even for the likes of Drashti, Shweta and Aarti.
Not sure what you guys think but just from a dancing pov of and what JDJ is supposed to represent i feel that perhaps they should rethink this whole concept of allowing trained dancers on the show, it takes away from the hard work of the celebs who are genuinely trying to learn and better themselves at dance.
With Mukti also in the competition and Lauren i feel that we won't get to see a real deserving winner
