Wonderful post. What is so jaw-dropping about these clothes? I dont see butt cracks or cleavage LMAO. I have to pinch myself and wear some glasses to make sure i'm not dreaming because I feel like i'm watching a different show when people start their long debates on her clothes and how vulgar they are.U all can argue for hours, but there really isn't a right or wrong here and u cant make your opinion become a fact either. People have different views on things like this. Just depends on ones taste and values.U cant personally attack anyone as the ones that find her clothing revealing arent behen jis and the people that do not see a problem with the outfits arent Slu** either. In conclusion, I am sure we all can agree that her costumes arent the best, but they aren't the worst either. Especially not bad enough for us to waste so much time on. This is nothing compared to the clothes contestants wear in other dance shows, but lets not compare. So this costume drama needs to end. You guys dont even pay attention to dance this much.

I have 2 issues with your whole post:

1) You contradict yourself. It's fine for dancers but not for contestants. Let's momentarily leave aside the whole dress appropriately for the dance style. Who the hell has the right to tell someone else what to wear and what not to. Female-freakin'-empowerment. Let women (all of the dancers/pros/contestants) decide for themselves what they want to wear. It's all choice. As long as she isn't jamming it down's everyone else's throat...live and let live. I'm so pissed off at the double standards b/w the girls and boys in this forum. I swear to God, I have yet to witness an actual testimonial where people call out the guys for ripping off thir shirts and flaunting all sorts of muscular bits and pieces. Besides, if the dress sense/style doesn't hinder the dance then leave it alone. Focus on the dance and technique; not on all the flashy/flossy attire.

2) The actor can be separated from the craft. Drashti plays Madhubala but she is NOT Madhubala. Why else would Drashti partake in such competitions--she wants to and is trying to separate the veil b/w the audience-the actor-the person. I blame the channel for milking the Madhubala out of her in every episode. And I, for one, do not like RK showing up and milking MB more for Colors. It's unfair to others, it ruins the whole separation of actor with the art, and puts her and her victory (if she does indeed win) in a huge predicament. It questions the fairness of it all and the channel needs to stop. Conversely, it is unfair on your part to bring up her "image". She is paid to act and not to hold up the whole traditional, well-valued character she portrays onscreen. Her choice in dress should not be anyone's worry at all, especially when it comes down to tarnishing her image.

Honestly, can this BE anymore redundant? (Chandler-style)😆

There's already been a plethora of vulgarity/dress threads on every contestants (primarily Drashti but others as well) and I don't think it needs to be discussed this excessively--it's all about choice and if it's too "vulgar" or "inappropriate" switch off the channel. That's your CHOICE.

Vulgarity is not directly related to dress alone. A short may look elegant depending on the manner you carry it.

Vulgarity is in her choreography and deficiency in dance. That makes it vulgar... Like the licking, kissing and poorly choreographed Egyptian dance... Amongst many other regular moves looked vulgar due to poor dancing ability. At that point dress also looks odd as she doesn't carry it well during those moves.

A good choreograph and dancing skills could make her look much more elegant .. If you think of the dresses in isolation, I wouldn't call it outright vulgar, except the one she wore for Tango...

Aahh. The hypocrisy on this forum is just reaching new heights all together. Other dancers can wear such clothes but Drashti can't because.. wait it's Drashti, so it does look vulgar on her but not on others 😳

A good dancer can make the steps look graceful, so it may not appear to be vulgar.

have u seen this weeks full performance dear.. tat u saying steps are not befitting...

she carried all the dresses well with her proper decent necklines & wearing a skinsocks at times ,& she is not only answerable to critisizers but also to her family & well wishers if she does some thing vulgur being a Tv actress. she wored full same colored shots in all the dresses & skin socks near the belly. U were talking about the dance steps the crazy fdance step people copy & recopy & remember salman for ever is the dingchika towel inbetween legs & jumping it was actually irritating but all celebs do & re do when they remember this song so nowadays it's nothing like vulgur step or a good step like Hrithik does in kaho na pyar hai. sab chalta hai, Drashti's performance is just 2 min people will forget like last time few forgot GC-shampa's dresses & dances ,chill maro itna bawal jis cheez ka koi value nahi, see forget 😆 & u complaining about grace oh come on for us she was decent good dancer though not perfectionist as lauren or mukti. but ya interesting forms with interesting dance too.

@Wisemen u said so about egyptian act actually everybody in my house were just surprised to see the balance cordination of the act & curious to see what they are doing & how it ends, interestingly first time that dance form made me google & find out the name & about the makeup too,i found perfect 👏 if u have to blame something blame jhalak format that included international dance forms where lifts & formations are seen.which di not catogorise as dance for indian who are used to see fast beats, steps, handmoments as dance

Why are you all, bringing in today's act? I'm not talking about today's act. I told that in my first post in this thread. We have to see the act to comment on it. Promo can be misleading. Relax 😊

Will talk about today's / this week's act after I watch it. Don't know if that's today or tomorrow..😊

And, it's not the dress alone, the steps matter. Some can be extremely graceful even with a short dress and some aren't... It depends on choreography and the skill of the dancer... SD had been on the vulgar side in at least two acts so far, IMO. 😊
