But it is impossible to include a high amount of dance in every act like a bollywood dance. Some of the acts needs to be balanced with dance and the act itself.

Agree with your post.
The act was a ritualistic dance. Dance need not always be jumping and prancing around. Controlled movements, yet graceful are also considered dance. if the movements were not graceful in the act, it would not have qualified as dance, that's what Kjo meant. They were threading a very thin line. And the entire team had to be involved, the whole team had to have controlled, balanced, graceful movements. JDJ is supposed to introduce different dances of the world..so at least I got curious about the dance that they did.

SO here is a quote, corroborating the dance that they did:

"The movements of the ancient Egyptian dancers, particularly the women, are called by scholars such as J. Gardner Wilkinson in his 1837 essay, and by Eugen Strouhal in his book Life in Ancient Egypt, "elegant, graceful, even acrobatic." A classic painting shows a lithe female doing a splendid backbend with apparent ease"

Please read the enclosed article...the dance they performed is called mww.

It looked easy to the eye the the entire team with Drashti, Salman and all their backup dancers made it look effortless... Each one had an equal role to play and contributed amazingly to the overall performance. Just Loved the entire performance ...

It could have gone wrong from the moment the act started but Drasthi-Salman and the backup dancers did beyond brilliant job. It was visual treat. Sad Drashthi's legs got scraped.

Because she is not getting us that kind of entertainment we want. We want to see decent performances from her but she is spreading vulgarity.

I m not a biased fan of Drashthi; in fact I didnt even know her before JDJ. When JDJ6 started I was expecting that Siddarth will be the star of the show coz of his choreo Sonia. She is my favourite choreographer in JDJ. But Drashthi showed tremendous improvement with every performance and now we can say that she is a challenge for Lauren and Sonali-Sumanth though both of them are brilliant dancers.

There has been a lot of talk about Drashthi been unjustly promoted by Colors but thats not her fault. We should know that JDJ is produced by Colors not by Department of Justice. So Colors will use the show for their advantage. Fair or not. Thats the whole point of the show. We are humans and we all have our faults. So we should not point out just Drashti's.

Drashthi's Egyptian act was the best act of this season and when Drashthi and Salman together took off the ground for a moment you feel that they are flying in mid air. Though many of us criticised it for being a circus act not a dance. But dance could be any movement that projects emotions and Drasthi's act had a lot of them. There was hope, sacrifice, devotion etc. It could not be called a circus act as it was not amusing or evoking laughter at all. JDJ has evolved so we cannot call a dance, a circus act just because we did not see what we expected to see. In case of Drashthi we saw much better than we expected.

Drashthi looked extremely sexy in this act. She had a very authentic egyptian glow about her.

This is just my opinion and I mean no disrespect for any of you. 😊
