When Shweta did her first performance, KJo told her to step outside her comfort box and do soemthing new, but toda when KV did something totally new, KJo told him to basically stick to what he's good at. WTH?!

I mean KV had some flaws in his routine and Tap and Kathak fusion is really hard to do, but the critique should be fair along the board. Hopefully, KJo didn't dock points for this, but it's a very hypocritical thing to say.

Arre who takes him so seriously yaar !! ST-Sushant was a dumb to take his words too seriously and try Jazz just next week

Better KVB sticks to his forte for initial few weeks.. He will have loadss of time to showcase his talent if he manages to sustain initial weeks !!

As for KJo, well I doubt he himself takes his own words seriously or not !! 😆 Hataa saavan ki ghataa 😆

Then what was the point of not giving Shweta higher marks when she did something she was good in and she actually did a good dance?

And KV wasn't bad, he just wasn't amazing. But hey he's no Gene Kelly--Tap takes years to perfect and yet his try was pretty decent.

I think it's unfair to all the contestants if you're gonna start changing your mind. KJo shouldn't have told ST to try something new and then KV would have sticked to something he's good at and his scores would be higher. So bogus I tell you. 🤔

I think in a dance show only those people should be made judges who are a pro at dancing, like Remo and Madhuri...Even persons who are not trained dancers but have a basic sense of rhythm and a certain degree of exposure to some dance forms, may be considered as a judge as well. But sorry, not some one like K Jo, I wonder why he has been chosen as one of the judges,,,, may be to lure celebs to participate in JDJ n impress KJo n grab a movie from his production house...

he definitely is! Kjo tells KVB to stick to his strengths but tells Shweta not to do the same! that would make it much harder for her...

I am confused. Is this show about showing your fortes or trying something new?
If it was about doing what you are best at then there would be no room for experiencing something new. Lauren and the kids would be getting 30/30, KVB would have had a bunch of 30's if he had performed kathak and Shweta would be competition with her Bollywood dance.

If trained dancers perform their forte people have problems because its what they are good at, but when non-dancers perform the same style over and over again (+/- a few twists) its something outstanding.

I have seen in the past that Salman (and I am not against the duo) presented contemporary with a twist of ballroom dance in most of this performances but was never criticized for it but he is only one of the many examples.

I feel that when someone tries something new but fails then the judges say that they should stick to what's the best. But when they don't try something new and still succeed than its a standing ovation. But even if they do their forte and fail...it's a disaster.

Technically in JDJ its not about the choreography much but if the presentation and overall is good. No one will question repetitiveness unless it strikes in the performance.

Personally this lack of versitality is an obstacle for the contestant and the choreographer. I felt that both KVB and Shweta should have gotten more marks as they had the guts to try something new. Of course they didn't do that with perfection but that was because the form itself was difficult. Also, I feel that Sneha and Sushant haven't completely grown as choreographers.

I agree. And then they will say that KVB needs to try something different because he is doing his forte. I didn't really find much mistakes in his performance except for the sound of the song that overpowered his tap. But that's a technical fault that could have been overlooked. As for Shweta, give it to her for trying something new and actually taking the initiative (which her choreographer should have done).

All the other dancers get a leeway because they repeat most of the dance forms and people doing something new get stuck in the danger zone. It's not fair. But this isn't only for KJo. Other judges should also point out when the other dancers aren't doing anything new.

he told Shweta to do something different not something too hard. Karanvir did something too hard which backfired because he is one of the few trained dancers on the show!!!
