You are right that the show is dancing with the stars and thay it is important to be a star!! But this term also includes the term dancing, and its just plain irritating when average dancers win becoz the show is passed off as a dance based show!!

You yourself said that this is dancing with the stars and then wrote a whole essay about "stars" conveniently leaving out the dancing part
This may be based on stars and fans but this is not a daily soap where only fans' opinions matter...It is a dance based reality show where dancing is the prime element
So sorry but we are gonna keep making posts if an average dancer wins instead of someone who has indeed shown progress n deserves to win
So if u want to focus on the "star" part and not on the "dancing" part, then ignore the dance topics coz we won't stop them...It's as simple as that 😊

Oh My !! I thought this was a forum for dance related discussion am i wrong then 😡
TM whatever you wanted convey about your STAR whom most of us adore as well , you could have done it coming down from your high chair as well ...Isnt it ??

Your post seems more like a command than an opinion to me.

We all love X or Y as a person but you urself have conveyed that X is a STAR and Y is a dancer so isnt it fair enough for dance lovers to pass through our comments on the star's dance performance ????

We are here only because we love dance and few of us are even trained dancers - not because we hate the star's dance or going by few posts insecure jealous etc etc ...hope you and few others get this right indeed !!

After I logout of this forum I have my own life and will not want to waste even a minute on either a celebrity star or celebrity dancer or infact anyone unknown to me...AGREE ? Lets enjoy the very little DANCE which JDJ brings to us 😆

As someone said discussions are bound to happen on the forum, you can't limit that applying your own logic. Not that everyone takes the things happening onto their lives. Differing views have to be expressed. Nothing wrong about that.

You don't have to assume I'm being butthurt- just read the post and figure out why I don't consider elementary grade level of attacking and bickering is as expressing views; some do I guess. LOL. That being said I have seen plenty of good discussions, and plenty of stupid ones around here.

@bold: That's exactly what *I* was doing as well my dear. Ironic, isn't it? 😆

It's a voter and popularity based show- meaning ANYONE can win based on the combination of Votes and Scores. An average dancer with a huge fan base following could win.

Hell, Salman Khan is the shittiest dancer I've seen and if he were on here he would win because the voter lines would be jammed with his fans 😆.

What's the solution, ban the really popular stars? Have a quota of what is an acceptable level of stardom?

A much needed post. The kind of reality shows that are based in talent are shows like masterchef, ZNKD, etc because they sit have any voting but the title f this show is 'jhalak dikhla ja dancing with stars' do obviously it will be the most famous and popular star who will win which in this case the battle is mainly between Ashish shakti and Karan cuz acc to me they are the most famous celebrity contestants kn this show. So simple at the end of the day scores given by the judges only play a small part because fans vote quite a lot to make their favs win. So it's very unlikely that deserving wins and it's on ya part if the game.

I didn't conveniently leave out anything: The "stars" part is what can make or break a contestant not their dancing. An amazing dancer can get 30/30 week after week, but if there's not much voter base, it limits their odds to win. Is that not correct? Same with if there is a big voter base but if a contestant is getting 15/30 their odds of winning are limited as well.

But an "average" dancer with 25+/30 with a big following wins or is a favourite it's all of a sudden a big conspiracy and deserve smut to be written?

Please, by all means- I don't think I'm able to stop you from making a post of an average dancer winning etc- but how about placing onus on ones self (and others) to make a contestant win instead?

Finally, I have no issue with dance topics, I just have issue with the plethora of condescending topics claiming nepotism with some contestants when that is not the case at all.
