Three weeks into the competition and Mini Mathur has taken her new role quite seriously. However, she was not too happy with her choreographer Himendra Sinha, better-known as Hemu. Our sources tell us that when Mini met her choreographer she was quite disappointed. Not because she doubted his dancing skills, but she found him overweight. On the other hand, she felt her co-participants were given young and good looking dance partners. But Mini denies that she had an issue with Hemu's looks and age. "What I felt was that he was a bit overweight. But Hemu is an excellent dancer and choreographer. He is so serious about the show that in five weeks he has shed 16 kgs and we are really working hard to do our best," says Mini, adding further that Hemu was out of the dance circuit for 16 years. "Jhalak is his comeback show as choreographer." Talking about the judges, who have been harsh in their feedback towards her, while being liberal to some of the contestants, Mini says her job is to dance well and not to impress the judges. "They have their opinion and I am not trying to change it. But I have the viewers' support and I am getting good response from the audience," she adds. www.deccan.com |
