'I can't misbehave with any woman'


Rohit Roy is back on television. No, the actor hasn't returned in a serial, but as a host on Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa . Rohit's happy with the kind of response he has got for his job.

"Even when I had announced that I wouldn't be doing serials, I never said that I won't take up hosting. I am enjoying myself. Hosting a show is completely different from acting in a serial. It doesn't require as much time. You also get to be yourself," he says. "But yes, I do miss television. I have a lot of fond memories of my days despite the hectic schedules," he adds.

Rohit says it's great to have brother Ronit for company on the show. "People want to see us together. The kind of fan base he has, he doesn't require me to help him in any way. But I think he's doing a fantastic job despite his hectic schedules," says Rohit who is rooting for Ronit.

So, why isn't he participating in it? "I am through with participating in reality shows. There's just too much stress. Also, I am not the kind who does things like campaigning or printing shirts to ask for votes. Don't get me wrong. I am not saying it's wrong, it's just that I am not comfortable doing it," he says.

Rohit has set up his production company that's managed by wife Manasi, while the actor is busy with his films. His film Mittal v/s Mittal deals with marital abuse.

"That's one role I was skeptical about accepting, not because it has grey shades, but because I wasn't sure whether I would be competent enough to do it. But I am really happy that I took it up," he says.

Also, the actor is very excited about his forthcoming film Alibaug . Talking about Alibaug , we remind Rohit of the recent controversy during the shoot of the film when there were reports of the actor pinching co-star Dia Mirza's bottom.

Rohit says, "Not just Dia, I can't misbehave with any woman. I am waiting for someone to stand up to me and say that I did it. It's very unfortunate that this has happened. Manasi and I can deal with it, we are actors, but how do I explain these things to my mom?
