Please I need a CLARIFICATION:
I was under the impression that it was a DANCE competition. And the winner is the person who dances well.

2. Since when did JDJ become a competition where the goal was to TRAIN and TEACH a non dancer to become a dancer.

3. If that was the only criteria... then PROFESSIONAL DANCERS should have been not allowed to contest in this dance show. They participants should have been all NON DANCERS.

The whole SHOW is misleading.

Now they say the emphasis is on the GROWTH of the contestant rather than the BEST DANCER eh???? Did the JDJ format undergo some change... or Was I under the wrong impression that its a DANCE SHOW??? where the best DANCER wins the trophy.

Exactly what came to my mind after reading it.... guess SONY is playing same dirty game again.... remember Indian Idol 😉 ???

Is it not SONY's responsibility to split the money before giving it to the winning couple??.... they should have included that clause in the contract itself.... but I guess they want to cash on these kind of controversies.... so they kept this issue open 🤢

DI,mona ,svetha,Aakashdeep are telly stars, who have earlier been featured in Music videos, navratri garbas, award functions, advertisements etc....SO one cannot say that these three have never danced before in their lives

Rati agnihorti is no non dancer, she has danced in all her movies😡...So has pooja bedi😡....I find it really hypocritical, that Pooja talks about shveta being a trained dancer only because she has danced earlier..because going by that logic, even Pooja has danced in her movies.....thus even she should be called a trained dancer...😡

The only people who were non-dancers are Sanjeev KApoor,Mahesh MAnjrekar and jadeja(perhaps)...because every other person has danced sometime or the other in their life..and thus going by pooja bedi's asinine logic, they are all trained professionals(pun intended)😉

JDJ i the indian adaptation of dancing with stars, and non dancers are the participants(which isnt the case,as rati, pooja debi, svetha, aakash and mona have danced in their lives)...but because they werent "good trained " dancers, they were taken in....So the audience have to vote, based on their performance and should choose the best(that is if the audience fairly vote).....That's the criterion I guess😕

if shweta is a seasoned dancer, why did they invite her in the show in the first place? then SONY needs to provide an explaination 😡 😡 😡

I am sure SONY wouldn;t make such a blunder. if they did, then too bad for the rest of the participanats and their fans. now they shud just try to deal with it gracefully if they can 😉

😆 😆
On the other hand, her competetors calling her a "PROFESSIONAL DANCER" says plenty about her dancing skills and abut how much she deserves to win the dance competetion 😃

Go shweta!

u r so rite purva...this is so lookin lik II now.....all the same negative publicity abt the deservin candidate....can expect any bttr can we! 🤢

NOW i really really want shveta to retaliate....ppl r takin advantage of her silence.....

I dont care if she parts with the money or not...i dont care if she gets any money or not...i jsut knw tht as the best dancer in the competition, she deserves to win. As for pooja bedi----the less said abt her so-caleld morals n ethics the better.

true even i feel the same

ofcourse she is.. why wud sony bring her to compete with their jassi otherwise? the participants were obviously chosen on the basis of their limited dancing skills / experience.

Shveta Salve with Longinus Fernandes
Shveta Salve has a 50-50 chance of taking home the Rs 50 lakh prize money in the Sony's dance show, Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa.

The final is on Friday, but will she be kind enough to part with a lakh or two for her choreographer Longi, who has played a key role in bringing her to the final?

In the initial stage of the contest, contestants were unaware that the winner would get such a huge amount of money. But once it became known, they mutually decided that the winner should give Rs 2 lakh from the prize to his/her choreographer.

Sharing the loot

So, the contestants had a meeting amongst themselves. Everyone, except Salve, was willing to endorse the noble gesture.

A source says, "All contestants felt they were well off in life compared to the choreographers. So it would be only fair to share a small amount from their prize with their choreographer. But Shveta resisted. She was not happy to learn that she would have to forfeit Rs 2 lakh."

The usually loud-mouthed Akashh Deep Saigal refused to confirm. He said, "Ab main kya bolu? Main jo bhi bolta hoon, log usko alag level pe le jaate hain. So I am going to be diplomatic and decline to comment."

Rati Agnihotri claimed that she was unaware of such a meeting. Ajay Jadeja brushed it off. But the frank and fearless Pooja Bedi, who has always called spade a spade, confirmed, "Yes, we all met and said that whoever wins, will give Rs 2 lakh to our choreographer. We all sat down together before the first episode began.

In fact, Mahesh (Manjrekar) and Ajay called all of us and we all agreed. In a minute, we all said yes. But Shveta had million questions to ask: 'What? How? What about the tax-deduction?' In the end, she never committed to it."

It's personal

We called Shveta to find out why she had issues with giving Rs 2 lakh to Longi. She said, "I don't want to comment on this. I discussed this
with Mona (Singh) and she too hasn't heard about this.

In the past three months, Longi and I have worked very hard. If I win, I would like to give something to him, but I don't want to disclose it. It's a very personal thing. For me, Longi means more than anybody right now."

Mona or Shveta: The Jhalak verdict

Pooja Bedi: The format of the show is that non-dancers become dancers. So it's very unfair to have a professional dancer winning the contest. Anybody can make out that Shveta is a seasoned dancer.

On the merit of dancing abilities, Shveta should win. But on moral and ethical grounds, it should be Mona. Plus, Mona is a far better human being. Look at her growth curve from the first episode. It's tremendous. I want Mona to win.

Rati Agnihotri: I connected with Mona very well. We used to be there for rehearsals around the same time. She is a very warm girl. I did connect with Shveta too, but less than I did with Mona. An extra yard for Mona. Shveta is a born dancer anyway.

Mahesh Manjrekar: I really can't differentiate. I was there for the longest period of time, compared to the other contestants, so I share an equal friendship with both of them.

Akashh Deep Saigal: I will vote for both Mona and Shveta.

Ajay Jadeja: If I were to cast one vote, I would cast it for Mona. Shveta is a skilled dancer.
So let's support the underdog.

Sanjeev Kapoor is abroad and hence couldn't be contacted.

I would blame the producers of the show. They should have split the money between the two. This is about a couple performing as one and should get the reward money accordingly. Idiotic arrangement that only one person gets the loot.😡
