What is kohli?

I am watching JDJ 19th October video now and Shveta said that she is Kohli adn her sister or motehr was shown with tears in her eyes.

What is Kohli and why was Shevta's sister/mother crying?

Koli is one of the maharahtrian's cast.so the way she was dressed up was koli style, and her dance was also koli.
koli dance is a very popular dance in Mumbai.

Koli in marathi means "FISHERMEN" . The abundant coastal line of Western Maharashtra (konkan) even Goa.. is home to fishermen / koli. Their folk dance and folk songs are very popular. Many of the are in Konkani language.
several bollywood songs are based on koli folk dances.

oh i brought that topic bout the mother crying. she actually covered her mouth when shveta said that it is deidcated to her nana, nani and her uncle. i think its because they passed away or something

yeah.. those were tears of pride and joy i think.. Shweta spoke in marathi and expressed her pride in being a koli girl who has come this far!
Her mom couldn;t contain herself.. So sweett..

Yea, it was a very sweet moment. I couldnt help but to sympathize with Shveta! 😭

I felt so sorry for her and her mother 😭 😭 yet at the same time, proud of her courage and hardwork! 👏
