Madhuri Dixit
No actress could have enjoyed a wedding better than Madhuri. She got to act in one. The Hum Aapke Hain Koun superstar's popularity reached an all-time high with Sooraj Barjatya's celebration of marital union on celluloid. While she's the bride's playful sister for most part of the film, she eventually gets her own trousseau in copper 'n' gold, towards the end.
My fans don't want me to play mother: Madhuri

Bollywood's original dhak dhak girl Madhuri Dixit made quite an impact as a judge on the dance reality show Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa. She just might be back on the show's next season, the actress revealed in a candid chat with TOI, where she spoke about television, movies and how her fans don't want to see her play mommy! Excerpts:
Jhalak's over. What next?
Going back home. My kids are waiting for me and I'm missing them a lot too. That's all on my mind right now.
Do you plan to do more TV shows?
They want me to do the next season of Jhalak. Talks are on. I have had a great time doing this show.
Years ago you hosted the wedding reality show Kahin Na Kahin Koi Hai that didn't click...
The show was ahead of its time. Had it been on air today, it would have done well. In those days, people were wary of being open about their personal lives, but today, people's private moments are out on reality shows.
What about film offers? You refused to play mother to Sonam in a film...
I got many film offers, but nothing that's really excited me. Anil (Kapoor) approached me for a film based on Freaky Friday, but the role didn't appeal to me. It's not about playing mother, it's about my role in a film. But, yes, after this news was out, there was an outrage on my micro-blogging site. My fans don't want me to play mother!
What would they like to see you in?
I think they want to see me with Shah Rukh or Aamir.
But realistically, can that happen?
Why not? Nothing is impossible. But again, it's not about acting with Shah Rukh or Aamir, but what I am doing in a film.
You made a comeback to Bollywood three years ago with a heroine-oriented film. Wasn't that too much of a risk you took?
I don't think so. When a film doesn't do well, you can do a postmortem on it. I have no regrets about Aaja Nachle. I enjoyed doing the film. It was all about emancipation, about returning to your roots. The underlying message was don't forget your culture, show the world what India is all about.
Talking about returning to your roots... do you and Dr Nene plan return to India for good sometime soon?
That I don't know (smiles). Its so wonderful....Mads actually reads what we tweet her😃.....yes definitely we want to see her with the Khans playing a lead role n not as a twenty something's mother......go girl....we r with u......👍🏼
Me opposite SRK or Aamir... B-town's leading choreographer Remo D'Souza is all set to turn director with his forthcoming movie titled 'F.A.L.T.U', releasing on April 1.
And now that he is free from judging the season 4 of the celebrity dance reality show 'Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa', the newly choreographer-turned-director wants to cast co-judge Madhuri Dixit in his next.
"My next film will be out and out musical. It is in the scripting stage. I would love to cast Madhuri. I would take the script to her," Remo said.
D'Souza said that working with Madhuri was a dream come true for him and was grateful to 'Jhalak' for giving him a chance to choreograph the 'Dhak-Dhak' girl of Bollywood.
"I came to Mumbai tried meeting her several times but failed. And, suddenly there is a show where she is my co-judge. In the finale of 'Jhalak Dikhlaa Jaa' I choreographed Madhuri...it was dream come true. I always wanted to choreograph her," the 36-year-old hip-hop choreographer said.
A peep into his next
Though his first movie has not yet released, the choreographer is almost ready with the script of his second movie. And along with Madhuri, he plans to cast Shahid Kapoor or Hrithik Roshan.
About the movie, he said, "It will be unlike the way we generally see in our Hindi films. It will be a Broadway styled musical in which characters express themselves through dance and song instead of dialogues."
The movie will be an inspiration from Hollywood's 'Step Up' and he's quite optimistic about the shooting that would begin in June this year.
About F.A.L.T.U
'F.A.L.T.U' is his debut directorial venture, starring Riteish Deshmukh, Jackky Bhagnani, Arshad Warsi and Puja Gupta (Miss India) in pivotal roles.
The film chronicles the woes of the Indian education system in which only those who excel can survive and there is no place for an average student.
"I want to spread the message that such people should be allowed to indulge in a field of their choice. Just follow your dreams is the message I want to send to all," he said.
