I do not understand how judges are marking these contestants. Ankita who did so well got 7 by all three judges and Akhil who literally did not move got 6. I know they didn't want Akhil to be disheartened so they gave him a decent 6. Also, Chang's performance was much better than Akhil's so why did they give him a 6? 😒

I don't like how judges discuss with each other what marks to give to contestants. Isn't this supposed to be an individual decision?

Yes!! Sushant was amazing!! Constestants this time are really good at dancing!
For Monday's performance, I thought they were trying to encourage Renuka and Shekhar and that's why gave them the highest marks and honestly i didn't mind it.
Yesterday, a 6 to Akhil was encouraging but a 6 to Chang and for heaven's sake a 7 to Ankita was not fair!! Krishna got an 8 from Malaika (correct me if i m wrong) for what? expressions?

Scoring is the pits and if it wasn't so pathetic it would be funny. Wake up judges and judge with justice.

yah,, i agreee there has to be a proper criteria for giving marks... not age, effort, dancer or non-dancer; that kind of thing... and yah the disscussion before marking seems pointless.... and sushant deserved more than 20. as per technicality |(sp?) he was the only one who came close.. everyone else was just peekha.. specially the samba, jive etc.

This has always been a problem..judges are usually a little stricter with the more popular contestants (ie the television stars) because they already have a fan-following and will get votes and can get saved that way..also the television stars tend to have some sort of experience dancing in award shows, etc.

Yes some marks were unfair but it's just the 1st episode, the judges are being nice and trying to encourage the paricipants who they know are not good dancers..Hopefully things will get better from next week.

this is what I meant by judges being meaner in DWTS....I've seen a judge give a 3 on DWTS....and he was VERY bitchy about it

now I'm not saying that the judges should start cursing at the contestants or what not...but the marks have to be consistent with the comments...for Ragini, Madhuri said such good thing and she got a 7? same with Sushant...but I agree with cho that judges have always been stricter to the serial stars because they have a built in fan base already and they know they will be saved for some time if given inconsistent performances

BUT looking at the serial crowd- Mahi,Ankita,Ragini and Sushant...all 4 of them did decently....they all deserved more marks then they got for sure...I dont know if I can call the judges biased or not yet...but they need a proper criteria to judge the contestants....

either judge them on their dancing ability...OR judge them on how well they execute their given style .....I think Krushna was the only one who did the jive like he was supposed to...everyone else just sort of incorporated it sloppily in their performance

The DWTS judges are bitchy and mean, but their comments tend to match their scores pretty well..usually I can predict what score they will give just based on that.

I agree that the marks have to match the comments but I still think that they were being nicer because it was the first episode and they were trying to make everyone comfortable. I think it's still a little early to label them as biased..The judges need to have a rubric of sorts on how they will judge the dance. As for Ragini, I was disappointed with that performance Chandni..her expressions saved it but I don't think it was worth more than 7 points tbh I'm hoping her choreographer steps it up because she could also do well!
