Actually for once I feel it is somewhat fairer than before. Earlier the soap actors had a huge advantage to start with, and the other celebrities had to work much harder to survive. Last year Hard Kaur got out in the semis despite always giving consistent performances, Gauhar came in the dance-off all the while. That wasn't particularly fair. This year Sushant, Ankita, Ragini etc have one kind of popularity, Jai, Salman, Punit, Vrushali have another kind of popularity, so it evens out a bit. Notice that the celebrity choreos don't have celebrity contestants and vice versa.

The choreos from DID are great, and yeah there is the problem of personal fans, but then again, Jhalak has been going on since three seasons too with the same few choreos every time ( who had fans too from all those seasons lol), excluding this season since there are majorly DID choreos. So if it wasn't a problem for JDJ choreos in the past, I doubt its gonna be one for this.

Btw, I know they should only be judged on dance, and it shouldn't matter who they are, but most people vote for their favorites as opposed to the good dancers.
