Ram will have multiple responsibilities on the show – he will be Rakhi's friend and guide and will also be the host of the show. This marks his debut as a television host and also his return to TV after his hugely popular portrayal of the character Jai Walia.

Confirming his presence on the show, Ram Kapoor said, "I have never been more excited about being a part of a show in my entire career as I am about being part of Rakhi's Swayamvar. I've known Rakhi for many years and we are friends, so I have a fair idea of the kind of guy she is looking for. I am sure I will be able to help her find Mr. Right and I'm glad that I am going to be a part of this beautiful journey."

Rakhi Ka Swayamvar kicked off to roaring response from prospective grooms from across the world. More than 15,000 hopefuls have sent in their profiles in the hope that they will win Rakhi's heart and walk away with her hand in marriage. Over the duration of the show, the prospective grooms will be brought together under one roof and put through a series of tasks that will help Rakhi choose the best man who fits the criteria and qualities she is looking for. Through the entire duration of the show, Ram will play a vital role in helping Rakhi make her final selection as well as be the 'inside source' for the audience.
