Sorry when I come to see a dance show for entertainment I actually come to see DANCE and get entertained.
As for the dance off the whole point of a dance off is last minute chance, this is the last chance you have to save yourself, which is awesome. I think everyone should get a chance to prove himself or herself one last time.
Just because things can be bad, or below expectations doesn't mean it has to. 👏

Very beautifully written post Perfangel 👍🏼 I particularly liked the above selected text from your post!

In a dance show, entertainment comes from dance performances for me too!!

Dance off is a beautiful concept and your definition of it is perfect. I just hope that the trend remains justifiable in future as well!

Yeah, this was one of those rare cases where there is a unanimous verdict - this time both the judges and the public chose Gauhar to be the winner. I would have understood if there was no need for the dance off in cases like this... but then again, the format of the show is something that must be followed.
If one of the dance off contestants faints, then I suppose it's their problem... the show demands a good performance, and therefore the contestants should try their best to deliver their best.
My main point is simple - overall, I think that the dance off is a very good concept, because it tends to prevent a 'survival of the weakest' scenario from happening 👍🏼
God bless.

Then you can say people in dance India or boogie woogie dance much better than any of the contestansts & if one of them becomes a celebrity is it fair to get that person in Jhalak. i don't think so. Personally I think Gauhar & hard kaur even though I lke her don' belong in this competition .they are not non dancers. This show is about celebrities who are non danceers

Well how do you define a non dancer exactly?😊 Hard Kaur maybe doesn't belong here. I have no problem with it but it is a maybe, since she has danced in music videos before. Again I don't think it's a big deal because she is not really a dancer, Gauhar never had dance training. her experience goes as far as modeling. Both Karan and Parul have danced on their shows, now if you are going to tell me they sucked and now they are improving that is another story. But both of them had dance sequences in their shows and even award shows. Does that make them non dancers? Monica is ofcourse an actress, who had danced in movies before. Does that make her a non dancer? If Gauhar or Hard Kaur doesn't belong here than many other don't including bhagyashree, monica, karan and Parul. Only mohinder, baichung, Ugesh and shilpa can stay. Being good is not a bad thing, being "bad" is bad. It seems like the show is crucifying people for being good. Like "oh you are too good, get out. We only have spots reserved for the less unfortunate ones"
I have never attended any dance classes but yes I can dance. I definitely do not call myself a dancer so that puts me under non dancer! Doesn't it?
As for the dance off the only negative thing about is the inconsistent judging. For the people who wondered if Gauhar already got higher marks and higher votes then what was the point of dance off, it's the format! If two people are neck to neck in points then both of them should get one last chance.

I agree with u all the dance of was so stupid i could have told them who would have gotten the votes even without the dance of. If they really wanted to make this intresting then they should made them dance on something different Ram😳 had no chance of coming back i new that from yesterday bec the so called smart Devyan😡 already sided with Guhar yesterday. Yeh her dance was good but come on if u really want a dance off make them dance to different dances each time. How can they make the same Dance better if u already told them it sucks. ITS SO STUPID IT MAKES NO SENCE WHAT SO EVER. IM STARTING TO HATE THIS SHOW

GOD i wish the teen devyan would just wanish into think air so that the show can be better 😍

Peace 😊

Once again applaudable reply! 👏

I have always wondered how conveniently people tell on the forum that Gauhar is already a dancer. In fact I have been thinking of making a post about it myself. What makes people think or say that Gauhar has had formal training in dance??

Okay, Gauhar has been amazingly beautiful dancer on JDJ3 and also seem to have a knack for understanding and creating good choreography but other female participants have been very good too at dance especially when compared with male participants. So, is it a bad thing to have a additional (dance) talent in you along with other things that you are so good at and famous for!!??!!

Also would like to add that RK also did a good dance cameo in the movie 'Monsoon Wedding'.

I dnt think there should be a dance off... as one, the judges cnt b trusted n second, the two acts dancing rnt dancing on the same style so tht they cant be compared... its unfair... the person with the least votes should go... simple!

I'm not really against the dance-off fornat, I've seen it before (in the UK) but I don't think it was required in the WC round.

dance off is a good concept.. but in the case of Gauhar, since she was leading by votes and judges marks, these type of cases they should make ti as an automatic winner..

IF gauhar is not trained dancer then does it mean she can't be trusted with words. From he begining of the episode she kept saying how dance is her passion. Is it believable that in last 24yrs of her lifei she didn't do anything to persue her passion ?Esp if she wants to do career in film?

I think even hard Kaur doesn't fit in this show as she had formal training of various dance forms, Indian & western.
Karan, Ram, Mohinder, Anand Raj , Bhaichung, Ugesh definitely didn't hve any earlier training. Dancing in a show or comeo is few steps with lot of editing retakes souldn't count as dancing experience. Ram's dance in Monsoon wedding was like we all dance in a party, any one can do that.
I don't knnow about this year but last years contestant except Sudha Chandran who had classical dance training were nondancers who never had danced or had no formal training. This year its not so . Putting trained & untrained dancer on same platform where they are supposed to be nondancer is unfair.
