hey guys...long time since i've been here...and i can see that the 2nd May fiasco's still a hot topic...you know, i watched the episode online after i read what so many members had to say...and i have to admit, i was quite outraged at the way they made Karan look like a Bull's Eye Target right from the beginning of the damn episode...and the way they raised questions over Nicole...i felt like it was almost an affront to their integrity...👎🏼
and i'm not really blaming the hosts for this, but there's one moment that really caught my attention...dunno if you guys noticed, but there was this bit where Nicole was asked about the allegedly missing X-Factor, and when she said she's trying to figure out what it is, Rohit's retort was a little startling for me...the immediate "gyarah hafte kam pad gaye aapko Karan ka x-factor dhoondhne mein?" was a little rude, i felt, and i had a strong feeling that Nicole didn't quite take to it either...the way she said "sorry?!" was, i thought, more than just a bid to repeat what he just said...and i could tell from Karan's face at that moment that he was trying really hard to avert as much unpleasantness as he possibly could...🤔
i'd also like to make a special mention to the way Karan smiled and took the whole Pappu Can't Dance Saala bit so sportingly...tw...he knows he's not a great dancer...and i know that too, but i don't think anything calls for this level of humiliation on national television...a little over the top, in my honest opinion...is baar thoda zyada ho gaya creatives...watch the line man...don't cross it for silly reasons at the cost of two people who never question you anyway, and just grin and bear it every single time something of this sort is hurled at them...
the long and short of it is, that i really didn't think such an extended interrogation cum accusation session was called for...and i think both Karan and Nicole handled it extremely well, and took it all in their stride very sensibly...tw...earned more of my respect if anything...and i'm also really happy that they undid what was hurled at them on the very same day as the accusations were made, in the form of a whopping 29 performance, termed "X,Y,Z" by Vaibhavi herself...so kudos to them both for sticking up for themselves as well as each other, and maintaining their dignity...🤗
i know, i know...lamba ho gaya...as usual...but i really needed to get this off my chest, fashionably late as i am in watching the episode in the first place...hehe...😆
