JDJ3 retarded version of dancing with stars? - Page 2

Very well written post...I am a big fan of American show - Dancing with the stars......compared to that Jhalak Dikhla Ja rates very low in every aspect 😕

I agree with almost all your points....highlights of JDJ3 are - extreme focus on gossip and drama, lack of talent in male "stars", inconsistent judges (I agree that female contestants are way more talented and hard working than male "stars" and still they get poorly judged and badly rewarded!!)...

Shweta is one of my favorite TV actress and I think she is doing a very good job here...I don't mind her in the GR vs stage as I believe that a more spontaneous and warm person is required inside for one to one interaction 😊

Can't resist but post...it's my study break hehe, and this is a well written post by the author. So yea here's my take:

Last season, my whole family sat and watched JDJ2 coz almost everybody put the effort and it was a good show. This year, it freaking sucks. I think I won't be watchin it anymore. There is unneccesary faltoo nautanki. Last season contestants were strictly judged, even though they were clearly better than some of the contestants this year. Last year it was so strict that getting above 24 was a task in itself. Contestants used to get below 20 in the first few weeks...that was real judging. This year it's like shaadi mein aaye hai...and they r dancing as baaraatis. Shaimak knew about the international dance forms...he is quite established in that. This year judges are giving marks like it's halwa...Shilpa, Gauhar were good yesterday...they deserved the marks...and even Hard Kaur... Monica was better than the guys but still she was ranked low. Don't know what the criteria of judging is. This is one of the times I m glad the show is not 100% judges voting...coz the judges don't know nothing...LOL...besides bollywood dance and they r truly biased. Vaibhavi might show that she knows...but i m not sure.
JDJ3 standard has gone down drastically...it sure is a bootleg version of Dancing with the stars. it's a joke.

i dont think so i think JDJ 3 is really enjoyable, no dance reality show in india does without any drama, but that is why i like it, it keeps it intersting and worth watching. howvr in in mu opinion gauhar is doing too much drama, other than that what drama are you talking bout.

I would have to agree that if we go by just show quality, JDJ3 is the worst of the three seasons so far. I'd initially thought that they had a promising lot of contestants so it might be a good season....but the way they've added unnecessary cheap publicity drama to make it all 'Big Boss' type....that has basically really pulled down the show.

Last season was much better than this....and the first season was the best in my opinion....there was some fantastic dancing by the contestants in that season....Shweta Salve especially was just too good!

The judges this season are another reason why the show is all weird....SK ko toh judge banaana hi is a joke on this show....since she's busy judging her own version of SamBHA....Juhi is so sweet but just rambles nonsensically sometimes :S....Vaibhavi sometimes appears to me as if she has different criterias for judging each participant.....and sometimes she really gets carried away by emotions, while sometimes she doesn't....that said, thankfully she is the only one among the judges who KNOWS the technicalities of international dance forms!

I had really high expectations this time .. esp the pre-launch PR and publicity was really awseome .. esp the 'aaj kya naya kiya' theme ..
but they're losing the plot ..

I agree the show is way below in terms of quality and dancing like the western show, but in the end the show is for Indian audience. One thing for sure to make it fair, every one should be made to dance similar dances, for judging to be fair. yesterday...the comments and mark definitely did not match.

Girls and guys should both be judged on same merit.

I know the dramatics behind the scenes is ugly, but you know there are some who have lousy attitude to be in the show.
