Loud. Real. Not one to mince words. Hit with the youth. These are just some of the ways we can describe the pindh di kudi Hard Kaur. But we prefer sticking to absolutely lovable!
JUST two performances down and the 'Glassy Girl' Hard Kaur has already won the hearts of the judges and the millions of people tuning into Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa. Putting in lots of hard work and oodles of energy, Kaur has emerged as a very strong performer. The Punjabi kudi has proved herself to be a consistent dancer and her scores reflect that.
We caught up with Kaur who shared with us her love for dance and music.
Previous dance experience: When I was a kid, I used to perform at various school functions. I've even learnt many dance forms like Bharatnatyam, Ballet and Kathak. I've always loved dancing.
Your take on dance: Without music, there's nothing and the same is with dance. Dance is the one and only thing that can make everybody happy.
Your favorite dance: I love dancing and that's the reason I love all dance forms. I love pop, samba and international freestyle. I love jazz, contemporary and rock. And in our next performance toh you'll see us doing something which has never been tried on Indian TV before and that is Lindyhop, a new form of dancing. Basically, I love all types of dance which are fun.
Person whom you think will win: Me, me and only me! (Laughs) If it's dancing wise, then me but if it's voting, and then God knows who!
Your favourite judge: I can't name just one, all the three judges are my favourites because I want marks from all three of them!
Quotable quote from a judge that has lingered: There are two. The first was after my first performance when Saroj ji said 'ki tum aisa naachi, aisa naachi ki sabki maa ki aankh' and the second is when Vaibhavi told me after my second performance that I was "truly bloody Hard Kaur!"
Quotable quote from a contestant that has lingered: It was when Ram said, "Guys keep voting for me because all those votes will go to Hard Kaur".
Now playing on your iPod/music system: It is Ye Duniya Utt Pataanga from Khosla Ka Ghosla. It's very fun to listen to.
