I think the TM already clarified that she hasnt watched Shampa's previous work, so her opinion was based only on Sunday's performance. And everyone responded that Shampa is very good at her job, and to give some time to Gurmeet- Shampa. No one replied that Shampa should be changed,or bashed her,or mocked her. Yet it has been turned into a Gurmeet bashing thread(someone who has to be reborn to even be a human being!Really?)... And Shampa's talent is being strangled?! As much as I support Shampa,isn't JDJ about a choreographer and celebrity? Celebrity can be a good dancer or average dancer or pathetic dancer or non dancer,it is choreographer's job to bring out the best in the celebrity. If you consider Gurmeet a pathetic dancer,doesnt matter, he isnt supposed to be the dancing expert, Shampa is. And if you are giving Sushant's example and how he was so brilliant, I can also say that Shampa was lucky to have gotten a celebrity so good at dancing.

Most of the celebrities in JDJ are non dancers,and hence they are teamed with choreographer, who can turn them into competent dancers as show progresses. If celebrities were supposed to be dancing experts,what was the need of a choreographer? They copuld have sipmly paired two celebrities up, or else have solo competitions between celebs sans any partners. But they are not,as it is assumed that celebs wont be a pro at dancing. If choreographer gets a good dancer,very well,but if he/she doesnt , they would have to make the best of the celebrity they have got. That is the real challenge. And that's what most choreographers do. Case in point Sanath Jayasurya's performance. Choreographer was able to design an act that suited him the best.

So even if you think that Gurmeet is non-human,or is the worst dancer in world,still Shampa would have to make do with him only,unless of course she shares the same sentiment and refuses to choreograph a non human,who is strangling her talent!


As for the Gurmeet fanatics(as we are being termed),we continue to believe that Gurmeet is a decent enough dancer, who has the ability to turn into a very good one,given right guidance(which Shampa can surely give),and of course by putting in a lot of hard work and practice(which he has never shied from doing).
