Vikas Bhalla comes clean
This TV actor talks about his alleged liaison with actress Sangeeta Ghosh and how he went into her bedroom but only to help her with luggage

He is the guy you'd love to hate. After wreaking havoc in Jassi's life, Vikas Bhalla alias CG (his character in the show) has become hugely popular. His growing popularity isn't restricted to just his fans. Vikas has been a big hit with his co-stars as well. Apart from work, the man has been in news for his alleged brief affair with actress Sangeeta Ghosh.
Apparently the duo came close in Dubai, where they'd gone to perform for a Pakistani play. In fact, Sangeeta had admitted that Vikas did come in her bedroom at the hotel that they were staying in but he was only helping her shift her luggage to another hotel. The actress completely denied the allegation that they 'shared the room' that evening. Now its Vikas's turn to give his side of the story. "I guess this issue is being blown out of proportion because both Sangeeta and me are doing well in our profession. Media is raking it up because they know that they are dealing with two popular names," he sighs.
Just for the record, we ask the actor if he had an affair with La Ghosh? "I'm a very happily married man. Why would I have an extra marital affair? I was only helping the lady with her luggage. That's about it." Being a married man, it must've been damn difficult for him to explain the exact scenario to his wife Puneeta? How did she react to Sangeeta's quotes? "Puneeta is a mature woman. After ten years of courtship and seven years of marriage, I don't think that we need to explain things to each other. We have a mutual trust and understanding which is the base of our marriage. In fact, she just laughed it off!" There is a long pause before he states: "I remember that she'd said that she'd wants to marry a man like me. If that's her desire then I genuinely wish that Sangeeta gets married to man like me."
Talking about the woman, what kind of equation does he share with her? Has the 'affair' tag affected them in any way? "Sangeeta and I are constantly in touch over the phone. We're not working together, so we hardly get to meet. But whenever we meet at parties or any other social do's we are cordial."
The man assures that he'd never fall prey to the 'cheating on his woman' rut. "Its very difficult for an actor to resist the attraction from the opposite sex.. After working together non stop, it is difficult to not get attracted to your co-star. But its also very important to draw the line at some point. An actor has to be extremely careful all the time."
The personal scenario might be shaky but all's well on the work front. His new show Shanno Ki Shaadi on Star Plus and Jassi Jaisi Koi Nahi are keeping the hunk busy. Vikas is also gearing up for his upcoming release Pyar Mein Twist, Marigold and Choodiyaan.
