Friday evening was supposed to be a big affair for the television honchos and the layman as well. After all, Amitabh Bachchan and Kaun Banega Crorepati were making a re-entry on Star Plus and of course it was also Jassi's big wedding on Sony. The competition couldn't get tougher. Both the channels pumped in large amounts of money to get maximum viewership for their respective shows. It was KBC versus Jassi. And then the bubble burst. While AB succeeded in assuring the audience to hold on to its umeed ki dori, Jassi failed to show up at the shaadi ka mandap. The most touted and lavish wedding on television, slated for August 5 at 9.30 pm, just did not happen…
After spending an obscene amount of money on city hoardings, television and radio promos, Sony's designer dulhan Jassi, left the aam junta high and dry. "The wedding will happen. In fact it's on," said Tarun Katial, the business head of the channel. "I don't think we've disappointed the audience. The show ended in a Jassi-Armaan confrontation. In half an hour we could not possibly have shown everything. The wedding will take place on Monday's episode." But the inside news is that Armaan will not get married to Jassi but Mallika or Rhea. Whatever it is, the fact is that Thursday's episode angered the common people who missed out on KBC's opening night to tune into Jassi's wedding episode.
Now the important question that some people are asking: Was the pre- publicity of Jassi's wedding an intentional plot to kill the viewership of KBC?
Jassi's angry viewers
1. I think it's high time that the channel and the production houses stop playing games with the audience. I think Jassi's wedding episode on the 5th Aug was a plot to kill KBC. If the producers don't have enough matter to carry on their shows they should just pull it off air.

2. Post her makeover, they are just dragging Jassi's story line.there nothing much to watch in it. And by the way, what happed to her so-called marriage? Thank God I was watching KBC and I didn't fall for the channel's trap to make me watch Jassi for no reason.

3. My children were waiting for Jassi's wedding. they even finished their homework on time. They love Jassi and were looking forward to it. However nothing happened and it was a complete dampener.

4. The episode that was aired on 5th Aug could have been telecast on the 4th, so that the wedding episode could run on the said date. My mother watched Jassi in another room and she felt let down.
