That evening, as Shaina retires early to bed to get enough rest for her early morning journey to Shimla, Jassi gets ready for the dinner. Dressed in a pink-and-orange sari with a halter neck blouse, she looks stunning. 😳
Suddenly she sees Armaan in the mirror next to her, giving her a "Wow!" grin. Before she can react, he has vanished. She turns wildly around, but of course there is no one to be seen.
Jassi: (sighing) Armaan….kaash tum yahaan hote!
And back home, Armaan is wishing Jassi were with him, too…..but for reasons practical rather than romantic: he is having a hard time getting the children to bed.
Vedika is tearing around the room, toothpaste dripping from her mouth. Meanwhile Ashish is bawling his lungs out.
Armu stops Vedika and demands, "Sweetheart, aap properly brush kyun nahin karte….sona nahin hai…..kal school bhi toh jaana hai….."
Vedika mumbles through the toothpaste, "Mmffj shhhch nhihh jjjlll" which may roughly be translated as "Mujhe school nahin jaana!"
Unable to argue further, Armu simply picks up his daughter and carries her to the basin, admonishing her not to return till she has completed her brushing. He strides to Ashish and picks him up, discovering to his dismay that the baby is wet.
While he is changing the nappies, Vedika walks forlornly out of the bathroom and calls in a small voice—"Papa!"
Armu: (absently) Kya hua?
Vedika: Maine school nahin jaana!
Armu: (sighing) Kyun beta? School toh aapko achcha lagta hai na?
Vedika: Haan…..lekin maine apna maths ka homework nahin kiya hai!
Armu: What??
Vedika: Haan Papa…mujhe wo sums samajh hi nahin aaye!
Armu: (trying to keep his patience) Toh ye baat pehle batani thi na….ab toh raat ke 10 baj rahe hai!
Vedika: Papa, aap office se itna late aaye…..mujhe laga aap thak gaye honge….
He melts and gathers her into his arms. "Aap kisi aur se bhi toh help le sakte the….Angel bua, Meg bua, Dada-Dadi….."
Vedika: Dada-Dadi toh apne friends se milne gaye hai….aur dono bua se toh sums hue hi nahin!😆
Armu gulps and asks her to bring her notebook. The sight of the maths problems sends him into a cold sweat. After a lot of hesitation, he slowly sets to work, thinking, "Jassi…..tum yes ab kaise manage kar leti thi…..tumhare bina toh mujhse kuch ho hi nahin raha!"😳
At that moment, Jassi is entering Ashmit Singhania's house.
