Do you think in the beginning, Jassi's "love" was love? Was it simply an infatuation because Armaan was so nice to her?
I think Jassi was in awe of her Armaan sir. Here was this man, from a completely different world than her own, a man that, should have, just based on her looks, scoffed at her and told her to never show her face again. From her past experience, I think she was ready for this kind of an insult, strictly based on her looks. But when he did nothing of the sort, she was taken aback. And from that moment on, he was nice, supportive and stood by his decision to have her as his secretary regardless of what she looked like. Armaan in the initial episodes raved about Jassi's mind and how brilliant she was. I think Jassi was touched that someone finally looked past the exterior and saw her for who she really was. He helped and stood by her, and she in return, trusted him completely...a trust that was later reciprocated by him.
Did Jassi really believe a man, so famous and good with the ladies loved her so soon?
Yes. Jassi is so pure of heart that she gives anyone and everyone the benefit of the doubt. She believed whole heartedly that he loved her. She didn't give it a second thought.
What characteristics in Armaan made a simple girl like Jassi love a brat like Armaan?
Armaan stood by her no matter what. He was always sweet, supportive. And underneath the casanova exterior was this sweet, innocent man that was, despite everything, good at heart.
They say Jassi was so intelligent, why do you think she wasn't able to look beyond the barrier to see it was all a fake drama?
Like I said, she's pure - she gives everyone the benefit of the doubt. She's so good that she can't see or fathom the idea that people can be bad - She didn't think that people could be selfish, ignorant, and use others for their own well-being.
If Jassi had realized this, do you think she would've moved on to Purab? Or simply cried over her lost "love"
I think she would have cried over her lost love. Jassi loved Armaan with all her heart - she's not one to fall in love multiple times. She gave her heart away to him, and he was to keep it for the rest of eternity. When Armu/Malika were to be married even, she was "content" living without her love as long as he was happy - she wanted the best for him. I don't think she would have moved on to Purab, she saw Purab as a friend, albeit a good one - when she knew she couldn't have Armaan sir, she decided to marry Purab b/c perhaps he had some of her Armaan's qualities - mainly, he too, when it came to her, was good at heart. But even then, it was Armaan who she truly loved...that never changed for Jassi - she's only ever known to love one man.
What are your views on Infatuation or Love in the story of JJKN?
Infatuation: It was everywhere...everyone was infatuated with everyone else. Malika-Armaan, Raj and his many ladies, even Nandu with Pari. Love: Jassi's love for Armaan...that was real....at first, probably, Purab's love for Jassi, was real...later however, this loved turned into Purabs infatuation with revealing what Armaan was hiding. As far as Armaan is concerned - he was at first infatuated with the fact that Jassi could help save him from his troubles...and the fact that he had to keep Jassi away from Purab. Later, his infatuation turned into love - love for the last person on earth he thought he'd fall for, and the one person on earth that loved him more than life itself.
