Mona Singh doesn't like talking about her personal life, especially her boyfriend Karan Oberoi. But she makes an exception this time, and decides to go beyond 'we are just friend' phase.
Who popped the question?
"Both of us worked together in Jassi Jaisi Koi Nahin, and used to chat all day long during the shoots. That's how our friendship started. It was while we were shooting in Malaysia that Karan said he likes me and I said I liked him too. And everything was so obvious that we really didn't need to ask each other out after that."
It's all in the similarities
"Before anything else, he is my best friend. Yeah, I know this sound filmi, but there is so much that we have in common. We come from defence backgrounds. We even like the same kind of music. I think he is perfect for me. I can discuss anything with him."
Love is working together
"Karan is coming out with another album with the Band of Boys, and I will be part of one of the songs titled Jaane Kya Hua. It will feature both of us. It's a romantic song and we are very excited about the whole thing."
Jamming with Lata
"Lata Mangeshkar is a fantastic personality. I have worked in her upcoming album. Though I don't share the screen with her, I met her on the sets. I was surprised when she told me that she used to watch both my serials Jassi Jaisi Koi Nahin and Jhalak Dikhla Jaa. She even told me that she asked all her friends to vote for me on the show!"
