Interesting info about SandA

This is a very old article from Jassi_pretty group. I thought I'd post it here 'coz IF had not started then so it would not have been read here. Thanks are due to my friend who sent it to me. 🤗

KYUNKI'S GANGA MEETS HER SANGAM

LOVE IS IN THE AIR. THE 5 MNTH OLD RELATIONSHIP IS CULMINATING INTO
MARRIAGE. SHILPA SAKLANI AND APOORVA AGNIHOTRI HUG AND SHOWER
KISSES ON EACH OTHER IN A COSY CORNER OF A MAKE-UP ROOM.

"I like her heart. She is a nice girl, I want to settle down with
her. At times I feel she is too good for me," coos the lover boy.

Shilpa gets emotional and throws her arms around him, clinging on
to
him. "It's okay sweety, it's only for the magazine," laughs
Apoorva, the ex-Pardes star who seems to know the "tricks of the
trade'. He caresses Shilpa while she remains in tight embrace, her
face buried in his neck… (PDA....🤢)

Kyunki's seedhi saadhi"Ganga' and Jassi's suave, sophisticated 'Armaan' have decided to tie the knot on June 28.

"She is more real, no faade, nothing superficial about her. Her
attitude is "take me for what I am' which is such a rare thing in
the industry because here everybody is putting on an act . She
is actually a dream come true. Every second of my life I thank God!"
Apoorva gurgles.

The first time they met at Barista Expresso Bar in Suburban Mumbai. Shilpa grabbed a newspaper "as soon as she saw me. Nervously pretending to read a newspaper she was holding upside
down ( And Shilpa pounces on him) I liked her and started piling on," Apoorva chuckles.

Shilpa didn't like Apoorva initially because she felt ppl around her were getting too pushy for her liking. "She kind of hated me and used to make faces at me, recalls Apoorva. Some common friends esp. 'Armaan's reel life partner "Mallika' (that reporter actually thought Armaan and Mallika were made to be together???😕😡)(Rakshanda Khan tried to play Cupid.

Rakshanda would go on and on about Apoorva to Shilpa. "And I'd
tell her, "Oh God, pls stop selling a guy to me haan. What's wrong with you, are you jealous of my singlehood or what ? Why are you after me ? But she kept raving about him and I once told her "Stop being a machchiwali..😕😕😆 I am not interested" chortles Shilpa.

But Rakshanda convinced Shilpa that this relationship would work out and from being mere acquaintances Shilpa and Apoorva became friends.

"Earlier we'd met in several parties. I was a bit cautious but he tried to reason out. "If we get along so well as friends then where's the problem', and I felt there was no harm in trying it out," says Shilpa.

Apoorva was warned right in the beginning that it was not meant to be just an affair but a life long thing. " I entered into this relationship with a preconceived mind – that if I like her then I'd want to settle down with her" says Apoorva. And he recalls their first 'official date" at Hotel Holiday Inn, Juhu. "Throughout the night I was shooting and I picked her up next morning at 7 am and we went to the hotel. Even Shilpa's mom knew that her daughter was going out with me alone for the first time. But no lovey-dovey thing happened there because I knew that even if I utter love, she might just run away. I maintained a distance," says Apoorva.

"Love at first sight has never happened to me. It's always been a gradual process. Apoorva knew that if a guy comes on too strong on me then I would be put off. I really get scared. Main baag jaaongi (I'd run away). I don't like guys getting overfriendly. There are some girls who like to be wooed, but I don't. I've been a sports person and was always very comfortable with either sex. I was never interested in going around with different guys. I don't have too many male friends. I cannot have conversations with any male co-actor of mine or any other friend for more than five mins.

But with my women friends I can go ballistic. Initially, when I would meet him, I would get irritated ' Hey bhagwan ab yeh kahan se aa gaye' But slowly things fell into place," says Shilpa.

"So I was the one who was chasing her all along. Any girls would be scared. But it was only that initial apprehension. She met my mom,my folks. And now we are raring to go. I'm feeling more grounded," he says.

Did Shilpa ever get intimidated by him ? " When I met him a few years back through some common friends, I thot, 'Hmmm …. Filmy, actor, successful, good looking… thaey are not the seedha saadha types….. stay away, stay away. I am not stasr struck sicne I belong to the same industry. I don't get carried away by the celluloid dreams. I liked Apoorva in Pardes. He stood in the same frame as Shahrukh Khan," says Shilpa.

A year ago Shilpa's relationship with ex-boyfriend Arjun Punj ended shattering her completely "And suddenly Apoorva Agnihotri came into my life…. I always tell mom, this is all done by dad. I think he is showering blessings from the top. My dad chalked out everything for me from up there. He always thought that I have not done such a bad thing in my life and didn't deserve the trauma I went through. But I had great friends around me to support and console me," says Shilpa.

Friends tease Shilpa that she's plunging into matrimony at such a young age. (She turns 22 on June 5) " kya bal vivaah (child marriage) kar rahi hai idiot, thodi to badi ho jaa," they say. (A-ha! If she turned 22 in June 2004, she will be 25 this year, and not in "a couple of years" as she has been claiming in her interviews 😈 )

But since childhood Shilpa's always dreamt of getting married early, have a good husband, kids and loving in-laws.. My dream of having a happy family is finally getting fulfilled," she says.

This comes from someone who's always been a tomboy and sporty in her teens. She was the sports captain as well as her school captain. She was an athlete, played outdoor games like volley ball and cricket with her elder brother and his friends and went for jogs with her dad. Girls were scared of her. 😈

Apoorva is one lucky guys to have a multi-faceted girl in his life –a tomboy who's also very pretty, caring and homebound, would want to be home when her hubby returns home. She'd also love to spend sometime with her in-laws.

Here's the details of Pardey ke Peechey... Shilpa was asked what does she like about her husband...She said that he has an amazing sense of humor but knows when to draw the line. He is aware of things that his wife doesn't like and knows not to go overboard. She said that he is her "bestest friend" and a great son and son in law. She calls him 'sonu' and apparently its a joke around everyone who knows her....They ask her how is your sonu? Okay then Shilpa was also asked how she and Apoorva met. She said that she was throwing a surprise party for Rakshanda Khan- a good friend of hers. She invited a bunch of guests and close friends of Rak and asked a couple to please invite Apoorva on her behalf as she felt awkward talking to him. They told him that Apoorva wouldn't come if he he wasn't personally invited...So she had to call him. Therefore, Shilpa did call him and invited him and told him that please don't tell Rakshanda that I'm throwing this party for her...Its a surprise. Apoorva jokingly said that how can I hide something from Rakshanda- such a good friend of mine. Shilpa took it seriously, said that fine ruin my whole surprise and then she hung up. Apoorva called her back immediately apologized and said that he was just joking. She said bahut hi gathiya mazak tha...and hung up...After that she said that they met slowly and started seeing eachother. Shilpa used to wait all night long for Apoorva to call as he was shooting for some film during the night and for Jassi during the day. Then she said that everyone used to really bother Apoorva about his relationship. Shilpa's cousin or some relative used to call up Apoorva and tell him aaj bol do na...They all wanted Apoorva to propose to Shilpa. They were all behind the poor guy. Anywayz, he proposed to her on his Bday .That was all about Apu that she said...She also said that Apoorva is a great son but him and his mother fight alot. Also, Shilpa apparently misses her brother as she used to fight with him alot but now has her husband as a punching bag instead 😲(She said this).... One weird thing was that people she loves, she calls them chudel (meaning witch)...She called Rakshanda a chudel, whom she loves alot as she helped her meet Apoorva. Also she called her cousin a chudel too whome she loves alot too....I found that really weird. I'm sorry but people I love I usually call them by nicer names... 😕

Finally the "never to be solved" mystery about SS's age is solved. She is not 23!! Now I know she has not drunk any type of "Amrit" to stay young. 😃 😆
That 'Chudail" thing is pretty weird, people normally give good names to their loved ones. But its SS we are talking about. 😆

AHaaa, shes NOT 23!!!! I knew it!!! Lol, but wow, veerry intresting to read! How did she hate him at first?????? Who can hate apu???? But anyways, glad they are together! Thanks for the article! 😛

btw, poor Apu! Being used as a 'punching bag'...

She was SCHOOL CAPTAIN????? 😕 😕 😕 I would really lowe to know which school gives that position to a kid who bunked school in class ninth to watch Pardes. IN my school she would have been blacklisted but i suppose, she went to a one-of-a-kind institution. 😉

And don't School Captains require a good academic level? When she came in Heartbeat (a game show) she didn't even know what SAARC was....something every 10th standard Indian kid worth his Board exams knows.

Thanks for this article, Blyton but no mention of WHITE PANTS AND NO FUN reading this article. Shilpa and white pants go together but anyways she is 25 and she is still young. God bless her.
