Armaan and Raj arrive in Oberoi Industries. The first sight that greets them is that of Unchhi Cheez, grinning like a Cheshire cat. He comes over to them and greets Armaan in a sugary voice—"Arre, Armaan Suri ji, aap yahaan…..aap toh lagta hai hume bhool hi gaye….Nainital se aise gaye, ki kabhi waapas hi nahin aayenge….lekin dekhiye, waqt logon ko, kis-kis tarah mila deta hai!"
Armaan is suddenly overcome by memories of how Parvatlal had tried to bribe him regarding a deal for Gulmohur, how he and his henchmen had clubbed him over the head in Nainital, and how he, along with Aryan and Jha, had tried to convince Jassi that it was Armaan who had framed her in the Anuj Shastri case. He grits his teeth and grabs Parvatlal's collar.
Armu: (seething) Neha aur Nikki ko tune ki kidnap kiya hai na? Bata…kahaan hai wo dono? Bata nahin toh I'll kill you!
Raj: (desperately) Armaan….Armaan….stop it! Hamare paas koi proof nahin hai…..
Unchhi Cheez starts blubbering, "Arre, hume koi bachao…..yeh aadmi pagal ho gaya hai……sab log dekh kya rahe ho…..police ko bulao…."
Armu: (furiously) Police ko toh bulayenge…..lekin tumhe pakadvaane ke liye!
The other staff seems frozen into inaction. Raj tries unsuccessfully to disentangle them. Just then G Kaka comes and sees the sight. He rushes to them and admonishes Armaan to release Parvatlal. Armu finally does, although he is still glaring at his adversary.
Armaan: Kaka, aap nahin jaante….iss aadmi ne do masoom logon ko kidnap kiya hai…!
Pervman: Yeh pata nahin kya keh raha hai….ek number ka jhootha hai yeh aadmi!
Armu looks ready to attack him again. Raj hurriedly tells the details of Neha's disappearance to G kaka, who looks befuddled.
G Kaka: Lekin isme Parvtalal kaise involve ho sakte hai…..ye toh kal shaam se yahin hai….aur kal kisi supplier ke saath koi emergency aa gayi thi, issliye ye der raat tak issi office mein the…
Parvatlal puts on his most aggrieved look. "Gajanan ji, hum toh aapki bahut izzat karte the….lekin aapke office mein aise hi koi bhi aapke humpe hamla kar de….hamara toh yahaan se mann uth gaya!"
G kaka : (quietly) Lagta hai koi galatfehmi hai…..Armaan ki taraf se main maafi maangta hun!
Pervman stalks off, giving Armu a nasty look and thinking, "Tumhe toh main dekh lunga, Armaan Suri!"
Armu demands to know why G Kaka apologized to a man like Parvatlal. Raj asks if it is not possible that Pervman kidnapped Neha and Nikki just before coming to Oberoi Industries last evening, or if one of his men did it for him. G Kaka tells him firmly that they have no proof against him, and till then, they must keep him in the company so G Kaka has an eye on him.
The two seem just a bit convinced, though still angry that they have no proof to nail the culprit. They warn G kaka that the Oberois are also at risk, in case CJ is behind all this. G Kaka grimly answers that they now have to be prepared for anything. The two friends take his leave and shuffle home, dejected.
Jassi is standing by the window, her back to Armaan as he enters looking apologetic. When he puts his hands on her shoulders in a gesture of peace, she shrugs them off and swirls round to face him. Her eyes are brimming with tears.
Jassi: Armaan, aaj tumne ye saabit kar diya ki tumhe mujh par poora vishwaas nahin hai…tumhe lagta hai ki main tumhare madad karne ke kaabil nahin….issliye toh tum mujhe yahaan chod gaye….
Armu: (taking her face in his hands) Nahin Jassi! Try to understand…..Cj bahut dangerous aadmi hai….aur main nahin chahta tha ki tum par koi khatra aaye…..aur bachchon ki toh socho….agar mujhe kuch ho jaata, toh kum se kum tum toh….
Jassi shakes his shoulders angrily and then pulls him tightly to her, crying, "Shut up Armaan! Tumhe kuch nahin hoga…aur agar hua toh hum dono ko saath mein hoga…main tumhare bina kaise rahoongi Armaan? Humne har mushkil saath mein uthaane ka vaada kiya tha na Armaan?"
He hugs her closer and nods, his eyes moist too. "I know Jassi. I'm sorry for saying that. Tumhare hote hue mujhe kuch nahin ho sakta….."
He is holding her hands and telling her about what they pursued when Meghna barges into their room, full of suppressed excitement.
Meg: Armaan….Jassi…..I think I have a clue!!
