G Kaka is shocked. "Samar?? Jeev ne Samar ke saath bhi kuch kiya…..tum kya kehna chaah rahi ho Jassi?"
Jassi: (desperately) Kaka, main…….
G Kaka: (beside himself) Main, kya??? Tumhe kya pata hai Jassi, jot um mujhse chhupa rahi ho? Kya Samar ki maut ke baare mein tumhe kuch pata hai….?
Pushed into a corner, Jassi nods slowly, tears in her eyes. "Haan Kaka…..aapka shaq theek hai…..Samar ka khoon, CJ ne hi kiya hai…!"
G Kaka looks as if the breath has been punched out of him. He slowly comes towards her. "Yeh tum kaise keh sakti ho? Kya tumhare paas koi saboot hai?"
Jassi tells him all that she knows from Neha Shastri, which when added to the information she has got from him, proves almost conclusively that it was indeed Samar who was murdered that night. G Kaka's face is closed up as she finishes, but his eyes glint dangerously. "Jassi", he says in an even voice, "agar yeh sach hai, toh main Jeev ko chodoonga nahin….kanoon usse koi bhi sazaa de, main usse zyada dardnaak sazaa usse doonga….!" (Remember he was the accomplice to an underworld don!)
Jassi is shocked. She begs him not to do any such thing, and let the law take its course. He calms down after a lot of persuasion. But his face is now lined with grief. "Pehle Samar….phir Raghav baba….phir Sa'ab….kaash hum iss asteen ke saanp ko kabhi ghar mein na laye hote…!"
Jassi: Kaka, ab purani baton se koi faayda nahin….hume aagi ki sochni hai….CJ ko sazaa dilwani hai…..aur iske liye, hume aapki madad ki zaroorat hai.
G Kaka is only too willing to comply.
Jassi rushes home to tell Armaan the news. He too is astonished to know that they have come to a lead so soon. In the process, Jassi completely forgets to mention Parvatlal.
But he has not forgotten her.
He meets CJ in the jail and tells him about his encounter with Jassi. CJ is taken aback, then he grows thoughtful. "Jassi….Oberoi Industries mein? Wahaan uska kya kaam ho sakta hai?"
Parvatlal: Sirji, shayad wo unki saari property haasil karna chahti hai…..issliye unse dosti badhaa rahi hai….
CJ: Nahin….Jassi ke paas Gulmohur jaisa fashion house hai….usse daulat ki koi kami nahin….aur uska wo Armaan Suri toh usse kabhi naa kar hi nahin sakta….mujhe lag raha hai, koi aur baat hai…..Parvatlal, tum Jassi aur G Kaka par poori nazar rakho…unme jo baat hoti hai, uski saari report mujhe chahiye…..
Parvatlal: Theek hai Sirji!
