Jassi sits very still as she hears G Kaka's account of CJ's character and actions. She thinks, "Ab koi shaq nahin ki CJ ne hi Samar ka murcer kiya tha……aur iski wajah bhi mil gayi hai….Uncle ne saari property Samar ko dene ka faisla jo kar liya tha…!"
But now, G Kaka is looking at her quizzically.
G Kaka: Jassi…..maine tumhe sab kuch bata diya, jo mujhe pata tha…..lekin mujhe lag raha hai, kit um mujhse kuch chhupa rahi ho…..
Jassi debates whether to tell him the rest of the facts: Neha's account of that night in Nainital when a mysterious stranger was killed…..who must certainly be Samar. "Agar main Kaka ko apna sach bata dun, toh kya wo ye bardaasht kar payenge?"
She is roused from her dilemma by a knock on the door. A peon enters and tells G Kaka that Meera is calling him in the boardroom. He nods and turns to Jassi, "Tum yahin baitho beta….main abhi aata hun…."
Jassi sits down, but is feeling very restless. She tries to call Armaan but his line is busy. Then she tries Raj, but his cellphone is switched off. Fidgety and tense, she steps out of the cabin and starts wandering around the place.
Lost in her thoughts, she doesn't look where she is going and collides heavily with someone. Without looking at the person, she apologises profusely and bends down to pick up the file that he dropped. As she hands it to him, she sees his face and her mouth opens wide in shock. He also steps back, taken aback.
It is Pervatlal!!
As soon as he realizes that Jassi has recognized him, he mutters an inaudible apology, snatches the file from her and scampers off. She is still staring after him when G Kaka comes back. To her consternation, she sees them exchanging cordial greetings.
When they are back inside the cabin, Jassi demands, "Kaka….yeh aadmi yahan kya kar raha hai?"
G Kaka : (mildly surprised) Kya tum isse jaanti ho?
Jassi: (angrily) Bahut achchi tarah se!! Yeh ek number ka beimaan aur chaalak aadmi hai……aapne isse yahan kyun bulaya?
G kaka : (shocked) Yeh tum kya keh rahi ho? Parvatlal toh hamari company aur suppliers ke beech mein, agent ka kaam karta hai…..iske kaaran, hume raw material bahut jaldi aur bahut saste rate pe mil gaya….mujhe toh aaj tak iske khilaaf kuch sunne ko nahin mila…..zaroor tumhe koi galatfehmi hui hai…!
Jassi: Kaka, iss aadmi ko pehchaane mein main kabhi galti nahin kar sakti…..yeh bahut khatranaak aadmi hai…..Nainital ki Traders' Association ka Chairman hoke isne bahut gair-kanooni kaam kiye hai…..aur mere upar jhoota case chalaane mein iska bhi haath tha……agar Raghav na hota, toh shayad main uss case se bach hi na paati……
G kaka is listening in shock, but the mention of Raghav makes his eyes go moist. "Haan beta….Raghav ke jaane se toh sab badal gaya……ab toh tumhare alava koi nahin hai, jisse hum log, apna keh sake….."
Jassi: Haan Kaka…..aur Raghav ko humse cheene wala CJ hai……usne poore parivar ko barbaad karne ki koshish ki….Raghav…..Uncle…..aur Samar…..
She has let Samar's name slip out without thinking. G Kaka looks flabbergasted. She stares at him desperately.
