The evening of Holi day, everyone is looking rather sheepish. Raj discreetly stays away from Billu and Nandu, both of whom are furious about having been intoxicated with bhaang-laced gujiya.😛 Beauty looks embarrassed, remembering how she and Nandu had been singing in each other's arms before the whole gathering. And Jassi….? She can't even meet Bebe's knowing eyes, as she recalls what she and Armaan were doing under the influence of bhaang.😳 Armu, however, doesn't seem to have any regrets.😉
Jassi is standing before the mirror in their room, very clean and scrubbed with her hair washed, but with her cheeks flaming. Armu gazes naughtily at her.
Jassi: Armaan! Tumhe aisa nahin karna chahiya tha...
Armu: (innocently) Kya nahin karna chahiya tha?😳
Jassi: (going even redder) You know what! Tumne Raj ke saath mil kar mujhe bhaang wali gujiya khilayi!
Armu: (cocking his head to one side) So….?
Jassi: Armaan! Kitna tamasha bana mera sabke saamne! Papaji kya soch rahe honge…?
Armu: Wo kya sochenge….wo toh khud nashe mein the..!
Jassi: (whirling around to face him) What!!
Armu tells her how the mischief-making gujiya had found its way to Billu and Nandu and later, to many other guests. Jassi sits down on the bed for sheer lack of breath. Armu sits down next to her, holding her shoulders tenderly.
Armu: Jassi…….come on! I know aaj kuch zyada hi ho gaya…..lekin aaj Holi hai na…..Holi ke din sab maaf hota hai…….and I know—tumhe bhi mazaa aaya…..aaya na?
Jassi looks full at him, trying to be firm and disapproving, but he simply winks at her. Inevitably she melts, and smiles at last. Armu pulls her to him.😳😳😳
They are interrupted 😡by a hurried knock on the door. Armu whispers, "Damn!" and gets up to open it.
Raj is standing in the doorway, looking agog. Armu glares at him. "Tu yahaan kya kar raha hai?"
Raj simply pushes past him into the room. "Sab batata hun…..par pehle mujhe andar aane de yaar…..badi mushkil se Jassi ke Papaji se bachte-bachte aaya hun!" Then he sees Jassi and stops short, deeply embarrassed. She, however, smiles forgivingly at him, and he looks relieved.
Armu: Koi zaroori baat hai kya?
Raj: Haan! Maine Meera Oberoi aur unke wo Kaka….kya naam hai unka….Gajanan Kaka…..ko baat karte hue suna……
He relates Meera's conversation with G.Kaka in the morning. JandA don't react much as he finishes.
Armu: Lekin isse kya fark padta hai? Hum toh jaante hi hai ki Samar ka murder hua tha….aur yeh bhi obvious si baat hai ki yeh sab, paison ke liye hi kiya gaya tha…..toh hume naya toh kuch nahin pata chala na!
Raj: Tum log meri baat nahin samajh rahe ho…..Gajanan ko shak hai ki Samar ka murder kisi ransom ya contract ko haasil karne ke liya nahin hua tha….ho sakta hai unhe koi idea ho ki murder kisne kiya….aur jahaan tak main jaanta hun, Gajanan na sirf Shiv Pratap Oberoi ke kareeb the, lekin ek aur family member se unka kareebi rishta tha…….think about it!
JandA exclaim together: "CJ!"
Raj: Exactly! Jassi hume bata chuki hai ki Gajanan Kaka, CJ ko kaafi achchi tarah se jaante the….usse sympathy bhi rakhte the, jab tak unhe uske asli intentions nahin pata chale…….issliye, ho sakta hai ki unhe CJ ke baare mein kuch aisa pata ho, jisse wo us par shak kar rahe hai!
Jassi: (grimly) You're right, Raj….main kal hi jaa kar, unse baat karti hun!
