Tough days are ahead for Sandiip

It was a rather sad week for Sony chief creative director Sandiip Sikcand. A rumour that caught on like wild fire said he has been sacked by Sony Television because of poor TRPs and literally no viewership for prime time soaps like Kulvaddhu, Durgesh Nandini, Kaajjal etc. He was apparently hired by Sony with a FAT pay packet but tough targets were set. And Sickand couldn't meet those targets. Another rumour was about how he has been directed by the Bombay High Court to vacate his house because the house he's presently living in, with his mother, is in the name of his grandmother. His grandmother had approached the court saying she has been physically and mentally tortured by them. When Sandiip was asked to comment on this, he snapped back, "The media should mind its own business and not interfere in anybody's personal life. They should do something meaningful which will benefit the society." And till now Sandiip loved publicity! Guess he is media savvy as long as only positive things are written about him! (Sampurn)

I guess he should realise that Sony viewers don't want kektalike soaps. Leave those for the Star viewers 😉

exactly , I dont know why he tried to being K-style soaps to Sony when it was obvious that the trend in Sony was that it only accepted reality shows and shows which were different and away from normal soaps .

Its always knows that Sony axes the show which isnt doing well even if it was running only for a few months . I have no doubt that more shows are going to be axed soon to make way for more reality shows .

I seriously think they should bring reality shows at Primetime when its clear that serials are not gaining trp's at all .Honestly I am glad that K-style soaps are not getting trp's , its good atleast they will try to create something different.

Yes ever since Sandiip stepped into Sony its doing bad. Awww thats sad that it was only a rumor and he's actually staying!! 😡

Sandip has brought disaster upon SONY by bringing in the K-style serials into the channel. 😡 I'm thankful that JJKN ended BEFORE he stepped in....otherwise we might have got to see a whole new track in which Jassi goes into exile for 20 years, leaving Armaan to the tender mercies of Vidhi 😉 , and meanwhile Vedika grows up and finds out that it isn't Armaan who fathered her but Aryan........ 😆
