Since the entire family is now staying on in Amritsar till Jassi's delivery, they all sit around making plans. Meghna says, "You know, maine abhi tak yahaan ki local scenery dekhi hi nahin hai…bas, next village mein gayi thi Beauty ke saath…aur uss din jab raat ko…." She stops short as she sees Bua gazing at her in perplexity. "Uss din…kis din? Tum log raat ko baahar gaye the kya?" (Meg is obviously referring to the night of her sance and her chase with Armaan!😆)
Nandu glares at Meghna, who looks a little abashed. "Aunty…..actually…." she says hurriedly, "ek din mujhe neend nahin aa rahi thi….toh main aur Beauty aise hi evening walk ke liye chale gaye…usne mujhe aapki fields dikhayi…bas….."
Bua: (frowning) Raat ko acche ghar ke ladkiyan aise baahar nahin jaati! Dobaara aisa mat karna…sun rahi hai Beauty?
Beauty shakes her head silently, while Meg looks a bit embarrassed…..but also amused!
Chaman suggests that all the young 'uns—excluding of course Jassi because she is in no condition to come, and Armaan won't leave her side😳—go for a picnic next day towards the other end of the village, where they have their mustard field. Everyone, except Angel, looks delighted by the idea.
Meg grabs Angel after everyone has dispersed and begs her to come along. Angel makes a face. "Megs, do you realise ki yeh town ke picnic jaisa nahin hoga….hame apna saamaan khud uthaana hoga….aur yahaan koi beach ya mountains nahin hai…na koi country club…bas kuch stoopid si mustard fields, jinme bahut saare insects honge, aur lambi-lambi grass…….ugh!"😕
Meg: Angelllll……tumhe kya ho gaya hai….yaad hai bachpan mein tum, main, Mollie, Aryan aur Armaan kitni masti karte the…..kitne adventurous the hum log….toh ab tum kyun nahin aana chahti? Be a sport buddy……(Angel pouts and refuses to speak, so she grabs her arm)…kya tum yeh dikhaana chahti ho ki Suri family ki daughter thodi si grass aur insects se darr gayi?
Angel: (indignantly) Darr gayi? My foot! Agar aisi baat hai…toh main zaroor chalungi!
Meg smiles to herself.😉
In Mumbai:
Armaan calls Raj to tell him that the entire family has decided to stay on in Amritsar. Raj nods in satisfaction and is about to tell Armaan more, but just then Neha enters his office. He quickly says bye to Armaan and puts the phone down. Neha is looking a little subdued.
Raj: Kya hua? Koi problem hai kya?
Neha: Nahin…..nothing much…..main poochna chahti thi ki…(hesitates) aap mujhse naaraz toh nahin hai na?
Raj: Naaraaz? Kyun?
Neha: Maine aapse bahut kuch chupaaya…..apne past ke baare mein…
Raj: (sighing) Please Neha…..isme tumhari kya galti hai…jo hua, usme tumhari bhi majboori thi…..aur tumhare past ke baare mein pooch kar maine tumhe takleef di hai, uske liye I'm sorry….it was really none of my business……
Neha: (looking clearly and intently at him) No…it is your business!
Raj doesn't know how to react, as the meaning of her words dawns on him.😛 He blushes a little 😳and hurriedly asks how Nikki is doing. Neha looks a little wistful. "Uska mood aajkal thoda 'off' chal raha hai….actually chemotherapy ke kaaran uske kaafi baal gir rahe hain…and she's very upset…."
Raj: Really? Toh chalo…aaj chalk ar usko thoda sa cheer up karte hai!
Neha: Aap…aap chalenge mere saath usse milne?
Raj: Nahin chal sakta kya? Tumhi ne toh kaha….that your life is my business!
Neha blushes and lifts her gaze raptly to his. He smiles reassuringly at her. They stand in a haze of mutual understanding.😊
