The new secretary reaches Raj's office and hesitantly enters. Raj has not arrived yet. She looks around timidly.
Well, I guess it's time I told you. It is Neha Shastri aka Neeru Bajwa😊……..yes, the same Neha whom Jassi impersonated in Nainital and for whose husband's murder she was framed. It was the real Neha's evidence that saved Jassi.
Neha straightens Raj's desk a little and then waits. Meanwhile Raj enters GM; the receptionist informs him about his new secretary. He enters and greets her pleasantly.
Raj: Toh aap…..Miss Neha Shastri hain….?
Neha: ….. "Mrs"…..
Raj: Ummm…?
Neha: Main Mrs. Neha Shastri hoon….
Raj: Oh! Well…….welcome to Gulmohur! (holds out his hand, which she takes nervously)
He is thinking, "Saare khoobsurat ladkiyan shaadi-shuda ya shaadi karne wali kyun hoti hain?" (Ahemmmmm……maybe he should ask Mona….all good things are either married, illegal or fattening!😉)
They get into the groove of duties, Raj explaining what and how to do the work required of her. Just then, there is a knock at the door. Raj yells, "Come in" and Armaan enters. He stops dead in his tracks upon seeing Neha. She too is dumbstruck to see him.
Armaan: Aap….aap Neha Shastri hain na?
Neha: Ji……aur aap….aap wohi….
Armu: (nodding) Haan….main Armaan Suri…..Gulmohur ka acting Chairman….par aap….yahan?
Neha: Main Mr. Rak ki secretary appoint hui hoon..
Armaan: Secretary? Lekin….maine jo resumes dekhe the, unme toh aapka naam nahin tha….
Neha: Mera resume HR department se misplace ho gaya tha….jab maine phone karke poocha ki interview ke liye mujhe shortlist kiya gaya hai ki nahin, toh pata chala ki mera resume galat file mein chala gaya tha….unhone mujhe interview le liye bula liya aur mera selection ho gaya….
Armaan is still nonplussed. "Par aap….secretary ki job….aapke husband ka toh Nainital mein hotel….."
Neha: (sighing) Meri beti ki treatment ke liye, wo sab kuch chodna pada…..maine koshish zaroor ki ki Nainital waapas jaakar apni zindagi naye sire se shuru kar sake, par uss case ke baad, wahaan ke logon ne hame accept nahin kiya….issliye main Mumbai aa gayi….
Armaan looks serious as she finishes. "Main aapki problem samajh sakta hoon……aap ko assure karta hun ki Gulmohur mein aapke kaam ki izzat ki jayegi….aur agar aapko koi problem ho, toh mujhe zaroor bataye….main aur Jassi aapka ehsaan kabhi nahin bhool sakte…."
Neha: (puzzled) Jassi?
Armaan: Jasmeet Walia….wahi ladki jisse aapke husband ke murder ke case mein frame kiya gaya tha.. (grits his teeth)….agar aap uss din gawahi na deti, toh meri Jassi…..aur aap hi ki baaton se mere aur Jassi ke beech ki misunderstanding door hui thi….
Neha: Lekin aap aur Jassi….?
Armu: (smiling) Jassi meri wife hai!
Neha: (delighted) Kya! Mujhe toh bilkul nahin pata tha…..(breaks into a smile for the first time) Congratulations!
Armu: Thank you! Aur issi khushi mein, aapko ek din hamare ghar zaroor aana hoga…Jassi aapse milkar bahut khush hogi…!
Raj is looking from one to the other in puzzlement. "Koi mujhe batayega, yeh kya baatein ho rahii hain?"
Armaan: (patting him on the shoulder) Sab bataunga yaar….infact tujhe maine yeh sab bataya hoga, par details tujhe nahin pata…fursat se bataunga…
He leaves, as Raj looks at Neha with renewed interest.
At night, sitting in bed with his arm around Jassi, Armaan tells her about Neha Shastri.
She turns around and stares at him. "Armaan……Neha? Hamare office mein?"
Armu: Haan Jassi…..duniya kitni chhoti hai na? Main bahut time se soch raha tha, ki kaash wo mujhe phir se mil jaye….taaki main unki theek se shukriya kar saku…aur dekho….wo Raj ki secretary ban ke aa gayi..!
Jassi: Secretary? Bas? Lekin unki toh chhoti si beti hai….ek secretary ki income pe….
Armu: (touching her cheek😳) Jaanta hun meri Jassi….main bhi yahi soch raha tha…Neha ko achchi se post milni chahiye…main kal hi Gulmohur jaake dekhta hun…
Jassi: (thoughtfully) Nahin Armaan…mujhe lagta hai ki wo bahut swabhimaani hai….unhe iss tarah promotion dene se wo samajh jayengi ki hum unki madad kar rahe hai…..koi aur tareeka sochna padega….
Armaan: Theek hai…yeh kaam main Raj par chod deta hun….wo waise bhi khoobsurat ladkiyon ki help karne ke liye hamesha taiyar rehta hai….(grins)
Jassi also giggles and puts her head on his shoulder. Armaan tightens his grip and stares into her eyes. The camera freezes on their mesmerized glances.😳
