What purpose did the 'date' serve?

Im sure no Purab fan enjoyed the date. Abt Jassi fans im not so sure how they felt abt it. Armaan fans were surely disappointed cuz there was no fireworks during the date. only thing was jassi's 'confession' which armaan did not understand or pretended not to understand. I loved the look he gave her though.....
so what purpose did it serve other than to prove that Armaan is resourceful at midnight? or that Purab likes midnight drives?
abt the impending 'fight' b/w purab and jassi im sure that will fizzle out too like the "date". so only thing they did was build up the whole "date" thing and drag the whole thing and let us down. as usual.

that was always assumed shreya. after so much hype behind the date it was sure that its going to be a damp squib. I was not surprised.

I saw a card in her hand, though i don't think they showed armaan giving it to her.

you have a point there shreya.........it was an absolute waste of an episode.............well there are other ways of creating a doubt in somebody's mind(if at all they have too)and that makes no sense too as jassi probably will clear this out.

and i really wonder how this happens in hindi soaps that the guy reaches at the exact place,exact time to see his gurl with someone else and the misunderstanding crops up and blah blah...(a very ghisi piti storyline)

i think this will be related atleast in some future episodes or may be it is show that armaan is changing and falling for jassi...who knows...😉

The "date" was being built up in three episodes before the actual one where the two of them met. From what it seemed it was going to be a really big deal. It fizzled so badly that I found myself looking at my watch saying when is this show going to be over so I can go to bed! How was the supposed date any different from any other time Jadsi and Armaan have met and chatted? Except for the slip-up, there was nothing remotely exciting about it. And how dumb that neither guy gave her the card. I guess both will give the cards later...when it won't even matter to the audience anymore.
