Sonal Sehgal

After the exit of Star One weekly, Hotel Kingston (in which she played the protagonist, Shelly), actress Sonal Sehgal had been missing from the soap circuit. Besides appearing in a couple of commercials (like the Gumnan hai koi ad for LG mobiles), Sonal tied the knot with musician Naresh Kamath in December.

After a short break, Sonal is back on the serial circuit. She will be seen in the Sony daily Jassi Jaissi Koi Nahin, as Shiuli, the new woman in Armaan's (Apoorva Aghinotri) life.

"The track now has Armaan as a pauper and Shiuli is the daughter of his boss. She is a rich man's bratty a daughter. But Shiuli has an entire story of her own. There is another shade to her character which will be revealed at a later stage." Sonal will remain an integral part of Jassi's track.

As the hotel owner's daughter in Hotel Kingston, Sonal had a love-hate relationship with Vish (Amit Varma), the manager of the hotel.

Chat show host

Besides acting, Sonal also turns anchor for SaharaOne's new channel, Filmy, in which she hosts a daily chat show called Aaj Ki Filmi Khabar. "It is a chat-cum-interview show. It is a novelty for me, as there are no scripts to follow," says Sonal, who earlier hosted a game show for ETV.

As for her new off-screen role as a wife, she says, "I accompany my husband, Naresh to his concerts. My decision to marry was not exactly on the spur of the moment, it is just that he wanted to be different and add that bit of suddenness to the whole thing; otherwise, we were slated to marry around March-April," says Sonal, who has set up her new home in Bandra. "I used to stay in Bandra previously too, it's just that we have take another place."

Sonal facts

Made her small screen debut as Sanjana in Saara Akash, and was later seen as Madhavi in Kasautii Zindagii Kay, and Shelly in Hotel Kingston. She has also featured in Jairaj Padmanabhan's film, U Bomsi 'n' Me. She married musician Naresh Kamath in December 2005.

....kkavyanjali has higher trp's than jjkn even though kkavya and anjali are not together😛, KTH has higher trp's and sujal and kashish will never unite in the near future😛.....KSBKBT has the highest trp's when meera is actually trying to snatch away mihir..so its not true that only if the lead pair remain united will the TRP'sbe on the top...that's not true....dude cb, the jjkn trp's wont crash.....going by the trend, they must rise contrary to what you have said😕......

Normal logic doesn't work here. Anything can happen.

The TRP's should have soared like hell, past few days. But I heard JJKN's are not even in the top 20?😕

God only knows what people want. But personally, I think this whole dragging business is sick. New woman, new man, so much tension esp when one's preggy is damn SICK!🤢

I sincerely wish the TRP's crash and they stop all this crap and either end it or bring back Raj and the gand and go on like before. A loverly romantic comedy.
